I'm currently using Apollo.io to find shipping & logistics contacts at various manufacturers across the US. Sourcing the correct email addresses for current employees was challenging before. The product has allowed me to not only source email contacts but also send campaigns on the spot. I'm still exploring the many tools that Apollo.io has to offer. The next phase of my marketing is cold calling so I will utilize the dial available on the platform. So far the platform has been amazing to use.

I use Apollo.io to poach for great candidates. I also use it to find company contacts when I need to place my candidates that are looking to make some changes. I use their filters to narrow down my search and reach out to the few that fit the bill.

Pros

  • They have great search filters
  • They have a great learning platform
  • They have a very large database
  • Their workflow sequences are great

Cons

  • Their app doesn't always pushing people into my Hubspot CRM
  • Their API system is very confusing to understand and connect directly with my CRM
  • It can be overwhelming to learn all of their features

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our team mainly markets our product using Instagram, sending influencers DMs before obtaining other information, such as emails, to send our product to them. When we cannot find influencers on Instagram, we use Apollo to identify relevant workers nationwide, including their emails and phone numbers. Apollo is convenient for us because it is similar to Shopify, automating emails we send to influencers and buyers so that neither party forgets to reach out and engage in conversation.

Pros

  • The search bar is convenient, accurate, and consistent.
  • Loading time is minimal.
  • Emails are always sent when requested and always indicate when they bounce.

Cons

  • Emails must be sent manually rather than automatically, i.e., when you save someone's contact information.
  • There could be more features available for the free and/or basic editions of Apollo.
  • Some of the tasks on onboarding do not get completed despite actual completion.

  • Increased closed-won revenue; fewer free samples because of ease of conversation.

Incredibly Effective Prospecting Tool with Just the Right Amount of AI

I use Apollo.io for prospecting -- I'm a talent agent and I represent clients who work on social media. It's my job to find values-aligned brands with whom to partner on sponsored posts and ad campaigns. That means I need to find the right stakeholders within my target organizations, which takes some investigation work. Apollo.io removes the guesswork! Not only can I find the right stakeholders, I can easily add them to a list, save their contact information, add them to an automated email sequence, and more! It's never been easier to keep track of all my random contacts and outreach. I also love that I can push my contacts from Apollo.io into HubSpot, and vice versa! Truly a solution that saves me a ton of time, energy, and frustration daily.

I use Apollo.io to prospect new business, to enrich emails, phones, and data scraping principally.

It has a very large scope, as it has allowed me to prospect clients of multinational companies, it also addresses the problem of avoiding conventional prospecting, by phone call, cambaceo, gives us a broader picture about where we are as a company and the opportunities we have in the current market and the opportunities that exist.

All this by creating sequences for the correct follow-up through messages in LinkedIn, sending emails that will link directly to the domain, a complete solution that helps a lot the process of finding new customers, generate greater engagement and loyalty of the same.
