Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Apollo helps us to highly target certain industries and personas. It eliminates the need for constant follow-up with leads, as the sequencing function effectively sends out emails at regular intervals with different call-to-actions.

Cons

  • Usability unless you are quite technically savvy it is challenging to navigate the amazing functionality.
  • Providing more granular industry niches.
  • Updating of personnel email addresses when they change jobs, or at least highlighting they have moved on by tracking their LinkedIn.

Ideal for marketing campaigns if you are looking to target specific niches and personas. It is also ideal for creating lists that you can follow up on later. Re-triggering sequences every 3 months is also easy, as you don't have to redo the same sequence once it is set.

I use Apollo.io to enrich contact data, create sequences, and execute cold/warm outbound sales. In general, I use Apollo.io for nearly all things outbound. It addresses problems of integration between enrichment, sequencing, email sending, and dialing tools by combining all of those into one. I also occasionally use Apollo.io to find leads or lookalike accounts.

  • Building sequences integrating phone, email, and linkedin touchpoints
  • Finding lookalike accounts for target or Closed Won accounts
  • Building lists that can be easily enriched and sequenced

Cons

  • In my experience, Apollo.io is often very buggy
  • In my experience, Apollo.io is frequently very laggy

I think Apollo.io does a lot of supe great things for outbound GTM, but, in my opinion, it doesn't do anything particularly well. I love that one tool encompass data enrichment, list building, sequencing, dialing, etc., except it doesn't excel at any of these things. Still, I appreciate that I can use one tool instead of. many.

I am an account executive, and I use Apollo daily to prospect my accounts. I use it to find accounts, prospects, and send emails. The business problem involves outbound marketing, account planning, and research, which aids in pipeline building and generation.

I love it for account and contact planning and research, I have used everything from Outreach to ZoomInfo and SalesLoft, and it is so nice to have it all built into one system. It is a great workflow experience.

Currently, the entire sales team uses the platform, but each person does so individually. I had been using it 100% for lead capturing and list building, mainly to stay organized with new prospects and focus on cold outreach and cold emailing. But this past week, I started trying out the sequences, and I’m really liking it so far. I’m still testing the tool to form a solid opinion, but it seems quite promising. To be honest, I hadn’t used this feature before because I was concerned that automated, high volume emails might go straight to spam, so right now, I’m testing it to see if I can get good results without issues.

I’ve been working in sales for 6 years, and this is by far the best tool I’ve used for prospecting new potential clients or companies. It’s very complete and easy to use (though it can be a bit confusing at first). Before this, I was using a very expensive AI-based tool that never really delivered good results, so this has been a significant improvement. Just one point of attention is that it took quite a while for us to get access when we initially reached out, so that’s something that could be improved.

We use Apollo.io to help it in our outbound strategy. It allows us to:
-Create targeted persona based on industry, job titles, locations etc..
-Enrich with the contact details
-Schedule sequences with multiple touchpoints (email, call, LinkedIn)
-Synch all info within our CRM to track results and get visibility
Without Apollo.io we wouldn't be able to reach our targets in terms of outbound efforts.

We use it to scope out prospective leads and create workflows using sequences to reach out to these leads. As a new business, generating initial leads can be challenging. We use Apollo to find people in our niche to connect with. We also utilize the AI feature to assist us in writing a curated introduction if needed.

  • The AI writing feature appears to be buggy, and most of the time, it fails to generate text.
  • If you do not have a sales or marketing background, it can be challenging to be onboarded.

When I need to find people in my specific niche to reach out to, Apollo helps me find these leads that I would not have been able to see before. I have not been able to dive deeper into the other features of Apollo yet, but I am sure they would be invaluable for most.

I use Apollo.io to prospect new business, to enrich emails, phones, and data scraping principally.

It has a very large scope, as it has allowed me to prospect clients of multinational companies, it also addresses the problem of avoiding conventional prospecting, by phone call, cambaceo, gives us a broader picture about where we are as a company and the opportunities we have in the current market and the opportunities that exist.

All this by creating sequences for the correct follow-up through messages in LinkedIn, sending emails that will link directly to the domain, a complete solution that helps a lot the process of finding new customers, generate greater engagement and loyalty of the same.

It is very suitable when looking for new customers and help to approach us to have some deal, likewise connect with new audiences to increase the chances of closing deals, in addition to providing valuable customer information through enrichment by other companies, It helped me too much the automation of tasks as I programmed at the time that is most comfortable for me and also when there was a greater influx of response from new customers, this increasing the customer base, but also potential customers within the company, having a short-term overview to be able to re-offer our services and how we are positioned in the market and with that create strategies to improve.

Sometimes it is less appropriate when updating jobs, because you may be looking for a person in a specific position or company, but the platform does not detect that the person is no longer working there and you have to do it manually, which takes a bit of time.
