The one thing that could be improved is working in accordance of GDPR rules in Europe, this would provide me with a higher hitrate on the searched for details - and would make it even better.

It's always useful to filter out what contacts to reach out to and what contacts to not engage with. This is where Apollo.io makes the difference. I use Apollo for lead generation & outbound prospecting - it is managed & used by the sales team. It links with my CRM (Salesforce) to automatically log emails, I can sequence campaigns via email (to target specific groups, etc.), and I can also call prospects through the dialer. It addresses & solves the automated outbound prospecting & lead gen part of our business - alongside events, etc.

Sequencing automated email campaigns for outbound prospecting (BD Function).
Integrating with Sales Navigator to help me find emails/phone #' numbers/"add to sequence" while prospecting. It's easy and seamless to find & then load contacts into Cadences.
Integration with Salesforce is a huge plus. Allows me to not worry about logging anything, but the executive team can see my activity & what is going on (emails going out, responses I get, etc.).
The analytics on the outreach data is always helpful as well (open rates, click rates, etc.).
Cons
It could be improved by making sequences & the platform more seamless/appealing in terms of UX/UI; otherwise, it functions fine.
Always will push for better prospect data (emails/phone #'s).
It could be interesting to see Apollo push into company data as well (the same way some competitors do).

I can filter out leads from companies that are too large while also gathering more information about their primary industry. I like using the email function of Apollo.io, as it makes emailing much more seamless and easier.

I really like using Apollo.io when you don't want to manually scrape through LinkedIn or company websites, as Apollo has everything organized into well-structured and easy-to-manage lists. I also appreciate how easily accessible it is to obtain the emails of these high-level individuals and create a sequence to send them. It might be less appropriate if you are trying to find phone numbers, as that requires many more credits and may not be sustainable without the paid version.

Our team mainly markets our product using Instagram, sending influencers DMs before obtaining other information, such as emails, to send our product to them. When we cannot find influencers on Instagram, we use Apollo to identify relevant workers nationwide, including their emails and phone numbers. Apollo is convenient for us because it is similar to Shopify, automating emails we send to influencers and buyers so that neither party forgets to reach out and engage in conversation.

Emails must be sent manually rather than automatically, i.e., when you save someone's contact information.
There could be more features available for the free and/or basic editions of Apollo.
Some of the tasks on onboarding do not get completed despite actual completion.

Anyone who needs marketing in their career will eventually have to use Apollo or a similar website. However, it is less suitable for use on a local level, as the database is broad and may not accurately represent the locations of individuals and companies. Similarly, using Apollo to recruit employees should be discouraged, since they may not be able to commute.
I use Apollo as a lead generator as it helps me connect with various leads. And I mostly prefer this as my first priority. Also, the leads that are generated are accurate and most likely valid. Mostly, I didn't have any problem using it in any business problem. However, in my case, as a person in B2B sales, this is the best lead generator I have found. Hope this helps you as well.
