Comparison to QuickBooks

Before Sage Intacct, we were on Quickbooks, which we found was not sophisticated enough to manage custom reporting, maintain internal governance, or do FP&A analysis.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

The software makes it easy to track subscription contracts purchased by our customers and schedule recurring invoices for mid-term billing.

Accounts Payable/Receivable Management

We now have a better handle on our A/R, ACH payments are much smoother, and system connectivity is way better with Sage Intacct.

Sage Intacct automates important core financial processes like general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and order management. Describe whether your organization has benefited from this automation, and how.

From 24 reviews | Last Published June 12, 2026

Sage Intacct's automation features are primarily noted for their positive impact on core financial processes, particularly Accounts Payable (AP) and General Ledger (GL) functions. A significant portion of reviewers, 29%, specifically highlighted benefits from AP automation, describing it as seamless, accurate, and instrumental in saving both time and money. The platform's ability to automate GL entries and reporting also received positive feedback, with 17% of reviewers noting improved efficiency in month-end procedures and report generation. Beyond process-specific benefits, reviewers also observed broader organizational advantages. The automation capabilities contributed to resource savings, with some organizations reporting the ability to reallocate staff or eliminate the need for entry-level positions, as cited by 8% of reviewers. Overall, the automation features are seen as driving efficiency and time savings, particularly in routine financial tasks, which aids in compliance and allows staff to focus on higher-value activities.

Resource Savings

Automation, alongside the emerging AI features, has greatly impacted the organization's cost control. After some extra effort to set up these features, I estimate that our organization has eliminated the need to take on an entry-level bookkeeper. This has been great during a time when there is a shortage of accounting talent.

General Ledger Automation

The main automated technique we use within Sage Intacct is our ability to upload entries into the General Ledger. Most of our month end procedures are currently calculated on Excel spreadsheets and the smooth transition to upload those documents into Sage Intacct has been saving us a lot of time.

Accounts Payable Automation

We benefit from the AP automation feature a lot.

Sage Intacct provides a core set of financial capabilities that can be extended with more advanced modules like multi-entity & global consolidations, project accounting, time and expense management, contract revenue management and spend management. If you have used any of these or other additional modules, please describe in detail how their availability has impacted your organization.

From 24 reviews | Last Published June 12, 2026

Reviewers frequently highlight the significant impact of Sage Intacct's advanced modules, particularly praising its multi-entity accounting capabilities. This functionality is cited by 46% of reviewers as a major benefit, enabling organizations to manage multiple subsidiaries and consolidate financials efficiently. The system's ability to streamline intercompany entries and provide a unified view of different business units is consistently noted as a time-saving and accuracy-enhancing feature. While multi-entity management is a strong point, the implementation and efficient use of intercompany processes within the system receive mixed feedback, with some organizations still performing manual tracking. Additionally, the expense management module is appreciated for its cost-saving benefits and direct deposit features, indicating a positive shift from external solutions.

Intercompany Processes

Cutting down on the intercompany entries saves us a lot of time and money.

Multi-entity accounting

Sage Intacct's multi-entity accounting has allowed our organization to save hundreds of hours from having to make the same entries within multiple independent general ledgers and then ensure they are reconciled.

Expense Management

We used to pay expense reports out of an external software called chrome river. It charged us $7 per expense report. Now we pay nothing for expense reports and it’s direct deposit to employees accounts
