In TrustRadius reviews, its robust financial reporting and analysis capabilities are frequently highlighted, with 42% noting its flexibility for custom reports and contribution to profitability. Many users also value its multi-entity management for efficient intercompany consolidation and its integration with other software.

Sage Intacct - Make the move to them

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We transitioned from QuickBooks, and this has been a game-changer for our company. We use Sage Intacct as our ERP. It is our line of truth. Our CRP system is integrated, and all billing, accounting, and inventory management are processed through Sage Intacct . We never had a system that was capable of addressing inventory with a price book to integrate into our CRP.

Pros

  • Dashboards
  • Inventory Pricing
  • Invoicing

Cons

  • Easier report writing
  • Accounting Invoices and Sales Order invoicing integration
  • Custom template ease of use

Likelihood to Recommend

Integration with Salesforce and intuitiveness for dashboards once they are built.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I work in AP. The system makes it easier to enter invoices. I can just send the invoices to the Sage email, and they are loaded in Intaact. We use Intaact all across our company: AR, adding vendors, making payments, creating POs, and sales orders. Intacct makes our business run smoothly.

Pros

  • Making payments.
  • Entering invoices.
  • Adding Vendors.
  • Intacct is accessible to employees for POs and approvals.

Cons

  • There are times when emails sent to Sage email do load into the automated system. I may have to send it twice. If that doesn't work, I have to upload invoices to get them to come across. If that doesn't work, I have to convert the PO manually to get the invoice entered.

Likelihood to Recommend

Sage Intacct is great for being paperless. It takes less time to get work done when you don't have to scan invoices into the system. Creating PRs is easier. Once they are made, the employees who need to approve them get a notice. It is much easier than sending an email asking for approval. It is just an all-around better system than I have used in the past.

Still a Sage fan

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We were beginning to outgrow Sage 50 and were looking for future proofing the business.
Sage Intacct has multiple Dimensions and Account Groups for reporting purposes. I use these on custom dashboards to allow analysis at the touch of a button.
In addition to this we have also started to use the statistical journal entries to monitor non financial aspects of the business. Going forwrad for reporting on ESG factor this will be very handy.

We have multiple companies and will be looking at consolidation accounts in the future. This is now ready to go at the click of a button as there is a Top Level in Sage Intacct that allows you to look at all your companies at once.

Pros

  • Reporting
  • Dashboards
  • Statistical data

Cons

  • Fixed Asset register - not UK friendly
  • Vat codes - too many

Likelihood to Recommend

If reporting is one of the main reasons you struggle with the current systems you are on then I would highly recommend Sage Intacct. The reporting is really what you make it, as it has a custom report designer and can make reports using Dimensions or Account Groups. If you have various companies under one Vat number this would also be handy as this could be run at Top Level rather than manually add vat returns together.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Sage Intaact is our accounting system used for our general ledger, monthly journal entries, accruals, AP processing, timecard tracking, and reporting. We use for our month end close, year-end close, and billing to other entities. We bill several customers and input about 100 invoices a month and utilize the project accounting in the tool which is very robust in managing our project costing.

Pros

  • Project Accounting
  • Timecard reporting
  • Journal Entries
  • Reporting and extracting to Excel
  • Robust research with the link functionality to invoices and spreadsheets

Cons

  • Report writer editing could be better
  • Setting up calendar year vs fiscal year does not work

Likelihood to Recommend

Sage is a perfect tool for running a business and runs efficiently and effectively without layers of steps and screens to do accounting and reporting. The journal entry module is very intuitive and easy to prepare, and the reporting once set up, works great. I really like the excel export feature. The report writer could be improved.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Sage Intacct is a very versitle web ERP platform, supporting our GL accounting, AR, AP, and Reporting functions for a ~50M revenue business. Very easy implementations and configuration.

Pros

  • Ad-hoc reporting
  • Data import
  • Invoicing

Cons

  • Better user interface for budget module
  • modern excel format support for exports

Likelihood to Recommend

I really enjoy using sage intacct for reporting, The custom report tool allows for deep customization of ad hoc reports. The data import feature is the most flexible I've used among other ERPS, really convenient for journal entry imports. The financial reporting function also allows for adequate customization. Only issue for me is that I cannot export in xlsx formats!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

My organization uses Sage Intacct as an accounting system. The problems is addresses are having a centralized accounting system for inventory, fixed assets, general journals, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting.

Pros

  • Fixed Assets
  • Inventory
  • Financial Reporting

Cons

  • Journal entry details
  • Intercompany entries

Likelihood to Recommend

Sage Intacct is well suited for an accounting system but may not be appropriate for companies who do manufacturing and have work in progress, inventory going to jobs, and need specific costing procedures

Sage Intacct is Right for You!

Rating: 7 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Sage Intacct is used as our Financial Accounting System of record. We use Sage to provide Financial Reporting, Cash Flow analysis, and Data Entry. We integrate our Bank financial statements, HR platform, T&E platform, Invoicing platform, and Expense platform with Sage. This product addresses our eco system to make sure all revenue and expenses are booked to have an accurate reading on your financial health.

Pros

  • Sage integrates with a lot of other platforms
  • Sage cloud based reporting features are key to understanding state of business

Cons

  • SAGE functionality could use improvement. Organization of cloud based platform slows productivity.
  • SAGE doesn't have standard integration with BI platforms.
  • Reporting needs a face lift.

Likelihood to Recommend

Sage is well suited for small and medium-sized businesses for financial reporting, other products Sage offers we decided not to use due to the lack of capabilities. Particularly the T&E feature. We really like Sage as our accounting platform of choice because of the multiple features it has to offer. We are able to easily split revenue across business lines, depreciate assets on a case-by-case basis, and have visibility into cash flow.

Sage Intacct give it a try.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Sage Intacct for our accounting package for our project here in San Antonio, Texas. I use Sage Intacct with entering AP and AR invoices, submitting them for payment; paying the invoices, setting up the check runs; reconciling all balance sheet accounts; running month end reports, either standard or customized ones; posting monthly journal entries, running trial balances, reconciling all our bank accounts, just to name a few.

Pros

  • Accounts Payable Tracking
  • General Ledger Detail
  • Very user friendly when correcting something

Cons

  • Report Writing

Likelihood to Recommend

We're working with a project where Sage Intacct allows us to focus on all areas. We're a small company and the following modules are well suited for our organization: Cash Management - reconciling our cash accounts, weekly and monthly; General Ledger - posting monthly journal entries, looking up detail information, recurring journals, activity reports and standard reports, i.e. journals, trial balances, gl details; Accounts payables - entering vendors/bills, paying them, setting up recurring bills; preparing check runs; printing checks; running 1099 reports; approving payments; custom and standard reports i.e. agings, check registers, vendor listings, and bills analysis; and Accounts Receivables - entering new customers/invoices; receiving payments; running custom and standard reports. We also use the reporting module for any custom or standard reports for our finanacial analysis. Less appropriate would be for tracking inventory, as we do not track it in Sage nor use Sage for payroll either nor tracking fixed assets, as this is done on our corporate software.
