I am an accounts payable personal for a refrigeration company. In my experience Sage has been user friendly and robust. I love the customizable dashboards and the reports are easy to access and provides the financial information necessary. Although, lately, it has been taking the bills page a long time to load causing a frustrating delay in posting bills.
Pros
Customizable dashboard - Allows for easy access to pages used frequently
Reports - AR Aging Report provides all the necessary data
Cons
Freezing - The bills page can take several minutes to load
Sage Intacct works uniquely to tackle many issues and sort through many scopes of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Pros
Automation
Entry
Accounts Payable
Cons
Quick movement between single invoices/entries
ability to view a vendor sheet and see all invoices for said vendors so that I can access bills quickly for adjusting entries.
Ability to copy and change an invoice/bill
Likelihood to Recommend
Sage Intacct is very good for dragging and dropping in many bills or pdfs. It can improve on simplicity, I think the program is a little advanced at times.

Sage has helped streamline our accounting processes and shorten our close process to under seven days.
Pros
Integration with banking platform.
Reporting customization.
AP automation.
Cons
Inventory adjustments always come up with $0 cost.
Discounts applied on vendor bills also apply to sales tax.
Retainage (AR) has been a bear to set up.

In construction-based companies in which base accounting functionality is achieved with ease, more robust accounting processes are mainly in place, but complex items (ASC842, ASC606, Fixed Assets) are a bit more cumbersome. Inventory tracking, relieving, and general reporting have been underwhelming compared to other systems, so those with heavy inventory transactional environments may need to supplement Sage.

We chose Sage Intacct because it provides the best combination of construction accounting software and the ability to consolidate many entities easily. We need to identify our projects' performance quickly, and Sage Intacct has the reporting capabilities to help us make crucial decisions.
Pros
Construction Project Accounting.
Consolidated financial statements.
Easy reconciliations.
Simple links to bank feeds.
Cons
Historical searches and transaction research.
Editing transactions in accounts payable after posting.
Credit card payments and how they are applied.
Likelihood to Recommend
Sage Intacct is well suited for intercompany accounting because it can handle the intercompany lines for you based on mapping within the software. Once your setup is complete, it can also handle the elimination entries with just the click of a button. It is also well suited for a large number of projects to account for. It is easy to set up, and the reporting meets our needs.
I use Sage Intacct to adjust the GL and pull data into reports. The biggest problem that the company faces is that the role and user capabilities are too broad and not unique to our needs. For instance, the Account Manager role may need to change a project, but only to certain aspects of the project. There are issues with reports that pull data from places that can easily be manipulated, but we can't take away permissions as a whole because essential aspects of the user's jobs would then be taken away.
Pros
Sage Intacct make access to video tutorials easy to access and search.
Sage Intacct has reporting features that are easy to create and preview.
Sage Intacct sends notifications built on specific Business needs.
Cons
The "Duplicate" button needs to have the option to be turned off or at least for the duplication only to carry over certain aspects. Allowing users to "duplicate" means more room for human error if they forget to change one object or item.
Sage does not have a 24/7 chat helper function that would eliminate many painful hours spent searching for a fix. For instance, the import rejections have specific codes that explain why a lien was rejected in the CSV, but there is no listing of what those codes mean. If there was a live chat feature, the code could be entered, and the solution spits out.
There should be a default option where all text would be entered in all CAPS. This helps entries on the GL appear cleaner and easier to read.

Sage Intacct would be perfect for a small business that is looking to streamline invoicing, payments, credit cards, and employee personnel. It is a one-stop shop for tracking information and storing attachments. I think there are cheaper options for those who do not want the hassle of setup in Sage, but I think Sage is better in the long run. For larger companies, Sage can be confusing. Sometimes, the attachments override themselves when using the "duplicate" or "populate from last bill" feature, and there is no way to turn that control off for prevention.

My organization uses Sage Intacct as its main Accounting and Finance software. This includes Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. We switched from another financial software last year due to its slowness and unpredictability. Since moving over to Sage Intacct, our financial operations have become more accurate and seamless. The reporting feature has also given more visibility and the ability to investigate when an issue arises.
Pros
The ability to build out custom reports is extremely beneficial and helps drill down into issues.
The ability to have unlimited users is essential in our business and is another reason why we switched.
We are able to quickly train individuals in the software due to the ease of use.
Integration with other systems.
Cons
There aren't any mileage tracking features.
Limited customer support - it all seems mostly online.
I can see possible security issues with it being a cloud-based platform.
Likelihood to Recommend
Sage Intacct is well suited for processing purchase orders and receiving invoices, both for labor and material in our construction business. We also have several different companies that we operate, and it is very easy to switch between them in Sage Intacct and they are clearly able to be distinguished from one another. I'm not aware of situations where it is less appropriate. However, unless you customize your settings, there could be the potential for hindering workflow efficiency.

Account Manager in Finance and Accounting (Construction company, 201-500 employees)
I am an FC for a SME in Civil Engineering, we have been using Sage Intacct for around 18 months.
We had have rapid growth over a short period of time and needed an accounts system to keep up with our growth.
We decided on Sage Intacct as it gave us all the requirement we needed. Implementation ran smoothly and we were able to report on the different aspects of our business easily.
Pros
Cost Centre reporting
cash management
Management accounts
Cons
Amendment of transactions
Adding new bank accounts easily
Payments runs
Likelihood to Recommend
Cost centre reporting is easily created within Sage Intacct and extremely useful with the suite of reports.
Also writing new reports is intuitive and there is a good help network to call on as necessary.
The cash management system is easy to use, however help in adding a new bank account is lacking and more assistance would be helpful

I use Sage Intacct for our part department of an electric contracting company. I am able to create purchase orders as well as inventory lists to send to our project managers and vendors. Sage Intacct has made this process easy and straight forward, we're able to update the system when we find road bumps that would otherwise slow our processes and continue to move forward with our procedures. While there have been hiccups with the transition to Sage Intacct, I feel that the system will be a much better option than what we were working with previously. Everything in Sage Intaact is easily accessible and in one system, while before we were using 2-3.
Pros
Converting
Purchase Orders
Kits
Cons
Adding multiple quantities of the same part is impossible it seems. We have different lengths of wire needed on the same jobs at times.
Training was very confusing, changing vocabulary and being on the same page about what the topic for that meeting would be.
Saving a kit as a draft would be a helpful feature.
Likelihood to Recommend
I have been pleasantly surprised with how easy the transition actually was once my colleagues and I were working with it together. However the training meetings definitely need improvement on Sage's part. For my job in the parts department however it has eased a bit of stress and lessened how long data entry can take. With that being said I don't typically recommend software to my friends and my entire company has already gone through the transition to be working in Sage Intacct.

We use Sage Intacct as our accounting platform and are developing the automatic reporting that gets emailed out on a regular basis to our project managers so they do not have to go in and run their required reports.
Pros
Integrations with other platforms
Ability to look at data in different ways
The use of dimensions to create additional subsets
Cons
Some of the custom reports and the ability to get to specific fields
The complex computations with subtotals and sorting by dimensions could use some improvement
The ease of the integrations with other platforms
Likelihood to Recommend
It just depends on what the colleague was looking for and trying to accomplish.

It was very refreshing to use Sage compared to the old ERP. Being in the cloud makes it super-fast. Also, the cost code structure, makes it very easy to track projects, and to get a good grip of profitability. We utilize the AP and AR modules to the fullest and do a lot of automated actions with the customers and vendors.
Pros
It connects with other software
Drill down capabilities
Cons
Some of the canned reports can't be modified.
We work with a reseller for some basic reporting that should have been included.

In connection with Procore, Sage Intacct integrates well, we transfer commitments and costs between the 2 systems. For reporting purposes, we have another software, where we are allowed to show the different views. The main statements are somewhat fixed, and too heavy in detail. The dashboards are very nice and have an executive view.
