We use Celonis for our Inventory Management process. Our main problem, which triggered us to look into Inventory Management, was high inventory levels, as many manufacturing companies in the industry face. We identified that planning parameters in our plants are irregularly updated, often based on limited data and experience, which leads to excess stock. We built a Material Insights solution using Celonis, customized it to our process, and focused primarily on identifying materials where we can reduce safety parameters. We then received recommendations from Celonis on safety parameters based on statistical analysis. Ultimately, this contributes to reducing excess stock and increasing free cash flow and warehousing capacity. In addition to this, we also examine orders that can be canceled and released, conduct premium freight analysis to assess supplier behavior, and review claim costs.
Pros
Focus on generating value for the customer through Process Mining.
Being customer centric, listening needs of customers very well and taking quick actions.
Providing out of the box analyses that makes start easy.
Cons
We had to build a custom dashboard for tracking value realization, as the transformation center was minimal in scope. For a very value-focused company, this area can be improved, which would be incredibly beneficial.
The current licensing model sometimes limits the ambitious value goals, as we can't experiment with building analyses in different areas without a long-term license for that process.

I think Celonis works really well in business cases that are well-built. Before starting anything, if the business case is set up properly, including business problem, solution proposition, and target value, then it's easier to know what to expect & what to do. Celonis excels at supporting the business in the beginning, providing a thorough understanding of the business case. I don't think building to see what's wrong and doing an exploration work well. In addition, it was to be a good base for improvement opportunities, not just a regular dashboard to see transparency.
We have identified several use cases for our partnership with Celonis. Currently, we are primarily focused on the Procure-to-Pay workspace. We are identifying opportunities to reduce duplicate payments, improve processing speed, and ensure the accuracy of our work.
Pros
Identify opportunities in current processes
Assist with improvement efforts to close gaps or augment performance
User interface to the technology
Cons
Can be expensive in some areas (sustainability) without clear ROI
Likelihood to Recommend
Celonis clearly excels in the financial area. Procure-to-pay. Accounts Receivable. Payment Processing. We see potential for Celonis to help in more complex areas such as our supply chain, warehousing, and distribution spaces. However, it is much more involved and requires a very different approach than the typical process mapping.

We use Celonis as our calculation method for our IFRS 9 annual and monthly calculation. Celonis obtains our overdue balances directly from our account system. It then uses certain logics to perform standard exclusions as per our requirements and then, using code, our calculation logic has been built in to return our amount to be adjusted. It provides us the flexibility to also upload a config file to override certain calculations where we know IFRS 9 requires updates such as insolvencies etc.
Pros
Flexibility at the start of our POC phase.
Great communication throughout build phase.
Quick feedback and error handling.
Cons
Detail documentation throughout the process to aid handover notes.
Likelihood to Recommend
The ability to download the information and then perform basic calculations is a really good use case, but it only scratches the surface. It could be used to perform detailed comparisons during migration between systems, as well as KPI measurements and analysis.

As process mining Come member, I’m promoting Celonis to my business users. My use cases are in the area of customer support and sales.
Pros
Data visualization
Easy to use
Automation possibility
Cons
Performance
More components for views
Feature that as admin, I can set myself as a user role to see what the user exactly can see.
Likelihood to Recommend
If you want to find the insight of a process, Celonis process mining is a good tool. However if you want to see only KPI dashboards, then I think for reporting there are better ones in the market.

Celonis monitors open orders in procurement and order management, identifying inefficiencies in the supply chain, particularly regarding stock levels and material range. It aids in pinpointing bottlenecks, enabling proactive problem-solving. Additionally, it measures performance in logistic processes, providing insights to optimize operations, reduce costs, and improve service delivery. Thus, Celonis serves as a critical tool for enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness in supply chain and logistics management.
Pros
Data handling.
Simplicity in design.
Front-end speed.
Cons
Support.
Platform stability.
Logs in Action Flows.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is well suited for analyzing historical data and drilling down on data sets to find root causes of inefficiencies. Collaborating with other colleagues by using comments and tasks is also good. Action Flows also help automate repetitive tasks. Celonis is less appropriate for raw data provision and rebuilding SAP transactions.

Celonis is widely used across our organization in several business areas for Process Mining and Process Intelligence Use Cases. We have established our own CoE a few year ago to serve as first point of contact to our business users. Within the CoE we develop new Use Cases mainly in the core business areas Procurement, Sales, Finance and Production not only from an analytical but also from a highly operational perspective.
Pros
Gain transparency to your as-is processes
Visualize process steps and variants to identify root-causes
Aggregate data for operational purposes and automate tasks
Cons
Lack of overall alignment of product strategy (consistency in releases of new features)
Previously product features were released too early with bugs that need to be fixed step by step
Room for improvement for more granular and advanced permission concept
Likelihood to Recommend
Celonis is very powerful in analyzing process data and process KPIs. It offers possibilities to set up and schedule the data pipeline to update data in near real-time (depending on the Use Case) to make it accessible for operational Use Cases. It can then be linked to automated workflows (Action Flows) by manual or actionable triggers. In a nutshell it can be applied highly aggregated for top management or very detailed for the shopfloor.

We leverage the insights we receive through process mining activities with Celonis in order to implement fact based corrective action plans in order to increase process efficiency and add value to our ways of working.
Pros
Structured process insights
Clear visualisations
Makes data actionable
Cons
Quite difficult to export data in other systems
Likelihood to Recommend
Celonis really makes data actionable and helps you quickly develop actions plans based on concrete facts and figures. One may also discover things not known before which are bottlenecks in the E2E process.
