Celonis is perfect for all the core processes. It is perfect to show how to generate economic value. There is no evident weakness from my point of view.
Celonis helps visualize the root-cause issues in our supply chain based upon inventory tracking. The dashboards we've created in Celonis help pinpoint the trends we are seeing for scenarios we are trying to avoid. With this information, Celonis helps us measure weekly, monthly or yearly budgets to ensure the trends go down with our resolution implementations.
Pros
Visualization
Parameters/Drilldown
Cons
Export tables - with user defining what attributes to add to the table (without going into EDIT mode)
Likelihood to Recommend
I think Celonis can be a huge help to businesses trying to streamline processes, but the ideal user is the IT and reporting teams.

The initial introduction of Celonis together with the process mining consultants and the customer success manager was outstanding. The workshops and their format helped to deliver a successful and on time PoC implementation. The reaction to customer concerns and wished was always positive and the involved Celonis team member did their utmost to even accomodate edgecase use cases which have not been supported in data collection by then. We received a lot of very helpful advice how to embed Celonis and its support / use organizationaly with the right operating model. The handover from the Celonis consultants to the newly established in house team went smoothly and after that the Customer Success Manager did an excellent job to keep us aprised about recent changes and the planned feature roadmap.
I am part of a Supply Chain group. We are currently working through use cases with Celonis that aid in our visibility of warehouse and systemic operations leading to fallout, impacting our bottom line. The entire team at Celonis, particularly Rob Thompson has worked tirelessly sorting through data, making sense of it, and understanding our internal processes, in order to ensure Comcast Business maximizes the tool.
Pros
Listened and understood our internal processes to ensure they built the tool specifically to aid Comcast Business Supply Chain.
Planned consist meetings to ensure all parties were made privy to the project status
Suggested use cases not previously considered internally
Cons
Upselling. There was a lot of upselling from the outset. As a new customer/ user, let the customer get settled with the tool and focus on aligning on initial use cases. Save the upselling for a little further down the line.

If you are a company where data lives in a multitude of systems and databases, the Celonis platform is a great tool to centralize that data in order to visualize what is truly happening operationally, enabling a view of the full life cycle of a project or process. On a smaller scale, it is great too as it enables insights into singular processes where improvements could be made.

We use Celonis to tie data sources together in a way that increases visibility to improvement opportunities within our Supply Chain and Operations team.
Pros
Connecting with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate progress
Building dashboards and visualizations that present a story for the customer
Joining data sources to identify opportunities for improvement
Cons
Setting expectations on what exactly is needed to reach a desired result
Call-out issues when the project is going off-course

Best: When binding data to support business decisions Worst: When the capability can be done internally
We leverage Celonis to demonstrate and prove out how our software solutions can optimize our customer's workflow processes, specifically within the service and incident management space. Through the process explorer from Celonis, we can map out a customer's current service and incident management processes and demonstrate where there are opportunities to improve on their KPIs by identifying areas of inefficiencies. Furthermore, it gives us the ability to visualize and quantify the potential impact on the customer and translate that into actionable steps for them.
Pros
Process mapping and visualization
ROI modeling
Reporting and Metrics
Cons
There's a learning curve to using Celonis, so perhaps providing guided step by step instructions would benefit users that are not as experienced with the platform
Accessing learning materials right within the platform instead of having to access a separate portal
Sample workflows in a library that you can customize instead of creating one from scratch
Likelihood to Recommend
Celonis would be very well suited in scenarios where a user or organization has a clear understanding of their existing processes for a particular workflow, and are looking to visualize and model different events or demonstrate to other stakeholders potential opportunities for process improvements. Conversely, Celonis may not be best suited in immature or smaller organizations that are less process-driven and less departmentalized.

We are currently using Celonis to identify [areas] of improvement using SFDC Case information. We are currently reviewing these data to make changes to the current business process to reduce our customer resolution time. We are also looking for opportunities to automate some tasks to free up [useful] resources.
Pros
It handles large data size very smoothly.
Easy way to configure KPI.
Drill down on data samples.

Celonis is a great tool for data mining using a large amount of data. Is also a great tool to measure changes [in] processes once a target is been established. The part that I am not sure yet at this point is if Celonis is a good tool to be [used] for reporting like other tools like Tableau. It all depends on the audience.

We use Celonis for mainly its process mining capabilities to a quick understanding of the current AS-IS process, to remove any gaps identified in the process. Arrive at time-consuming activities in any telecom process (example: any order Order-Cash process, B2B, etc.) based on the footprints ingested/integrated to Celonis. We also use it to find Automation Opportunities, Deviations and set/arrive at process KPIs to understand throughput by multiple levels. Basically, we break down any process-related data/information into chunks to completely analyze and optimize or bring any changes to the process.
Pros
Process understanding and process mining.
Execution management system.
Data Visualization and Selection Filters.
Real time data ingestion.
Transformation center.
Process conformance.
Cons
Huge number of process variants but again probably could be due to data set.
Process model building capabilities.
Machine learning capabilities.

The consulting solution from Celonis has benefited our customers by having more transparency. A lot of times organizations are not aware of how exactly the process is aligned in reality, which could be because of multiple system interactions, and with the platform, the fact is that they can map out the process and then see how the process is working in real-time is a huge benefit. We have found the automatic mapping of the processes themselves to be a valuable feature. The fact that this solution is agnostic, and you can map a process across multiple systems almost automatically from the moment that you have the data mapped out, makes our lives much easier. And with the offline data set/footprints we will still be able to use all the platform features but remember the analysis is for historic data.
