What i like very much remote support for non-technical users. accessing office machine from home what i don't like in BFSI sector we have client with very limited access to internet there TeamViewer will not work if you try to do your security team will flag it as high risk.
TeamViewer is a great tool for our event company. Our work is based on services big events hosting and organising. Here TeamViewer saves a lot time hosting our meeting with clients, showing them different options and themes. Our various events are required big laptops, led screens, tablets if any technical issue happens our IT team can fix it remotely. TeamViewer can show me all locations where other events are happening I can remotely control their screens. It gives a versatile ways to keep check on the events so that they smooth and our client have a happy experience.
Pros

As in my company we deliver the experiences to our customers and TeamViewer is much needed to our company. We have multiple locations and stages some wedding Event going on on the other hand a corporate event is going on every thing to track remotely and keep it in one screen is what TeamViewer does for me. I find if you have various works are happening at different geographical locations and you want to monitor them all them TeamViewer is the best shot.
I manage about 15 servers and 85 workstations. Servers are in 2 different locations. In times before TeamViewer I had to drive to the other location very often sometimes in the middle of the night. Now I can do almost everything from my office or even from my home. In our company 3 other people use TeamViewer.
Pros
I can manage my computers from all over the world, need only computer with internet and browser.
I can send/receive files to/from my computers.
It's very easy to manage users.
In case of emergency I can help my friends who don't need to have installed TeamViewer.
Cons
I manage some virtual machines. I don't know why they often change the TeamViewer ID. This is very uncomfortable.

Very good for physical machines, less appropriate for VM's.
TeamViewer is used across our entire business and provides us a convenient way to access either remote PCs (ours) or offer technical support and back up to clients by remotely accessing their PCs to fix issues or to remotely train clients in the use of software solutions that we have implemented on their behalf. Using TeamViewer means that we avoid costly call-outs to site for service that would only require access to the clients PC.
Pros
Remote sessions are quick to respond with very little delay.
File transfers are easy and quick.
The mobile client is very useful for on the road support.
The remote audio feature is very handy for us when troubleshooting audio problems on remote desktops.
Cons
TeamViewer is considered to be a low security option by many IT departments that we work with, they tend to prefer using the windows remote desktop.
TeamViewer is very pricey.
Older versions on remote machines need to be updated before a remote session can be established.

For our use case, TeamViewer is suited for deployment on networks that are not professionally monitored. Since we are most often accessing a machine that is not our own, IT professionals often prefer us to use the windows remote desktop.
We find that some networks have blocked TeamViewer use, since we are a contractor to the client we are required to use other methods for remote access. However, on our own network we find TeamViewer to be a quick and easy solution to remote access and would recommend its use.
In my current role, TeamViewer is used as a means for the IT Department to provide remote support and endpoint management easily to users/devices, either on-campus or in work-from-home situations. Given the events of the past year and COVID's impact, our organization had to quickly switch from a highly-concentrated on-campus workforce to a fairly distributed work-from-home workforce rapidly.
The established practices of an IT representative walking upstairs to directly support and manage the user/device could not and would not scale to meet this need for a distributed WFH workforce.
TeamViewer was selected by the IT Administrator and deployed organization-wide to allow them to remotely monitor the endpoint's software/hardware state, provide direct remote support/management, and to ease software troubleshooting and deployment.
In my prior role, we used TeamViewer for similar reasons (direct support/monitoring/management of devices spread out across the US [and in some cases the world]) to support a computer that was installed in agricultural equipment. In the intervening years since this role, TeamViewer's capabilities have expanded and better serve both the end-user and the Administrator.
Pros
Ease Of Use for both Administrators and End Users
Incredibly wide platform support for both Viewer and Remote
Simple and clear Terms Of Service and Licensing structure
Incredibly long track record and well-proven
Cons
Support for Windows 10 UWP/Store is lacking, though critical
Occasional issues with Account Login
Workflow for "favoriting" a new device seems a bit intuitive
Release Notes for pending update should be shown PRIOR to update

TeamViewer excels as a remote support software, and provides some really nice device management and monitoring capabilities to boot. It handles weak rural internet about as well as anything else I've seen.
About the only instance I can think where TeamViewer is not appropriate is when needing to deploy/manage devices with Windows 10 in S Mode, or other client operating systems that are not supported.
In the organization, this software has been and is used as a remote connection tool. Particularly in my country (Venezuela) every time, due to the current economic and social circumstances, it takes more time and it is more difficult to move from home to the workplace.
This software is particularly useful in these cases because it allows the user to remotely access the company's local server, take the information he needs, process it and work it from his home and place it back into the company's hard drive, taking advantage of the level of security associated with the use of the software.
Less frequently it is used as a tool to support and solve problems to users through shared screens.
Personally, after suffering a serious accident that required a hip operation and prevented me from moving for 10 weeks, I was able to continue practically working on all the projects in which I was involved, using this software, through which I accessed the information, which once processed, forwarded to the company's servers.
Pros
The software itself is a powerful support and control tool, extremely easy to install, configure and use, so with a minimum induction, practically any user with internet service and the respective access permits, can connect from their house with the office server.
Not only allowed access to people who were in remote locations with the server of the central office, but also constituted an additional way to offer technical assistance to these people, in case they require it, being constituted together with the use of the whataspp tool is fundamental to the daily life of some of our workers who normally do field work.
Cons
- A difficulty that we have experienced in the company and that has been detected with each stumble that has been had, is the fact that the different versions are not compatible with each other, so if some user accidentally updates his version (very normal fact ), compatibility problems are generated that have caused our support department to have to communicate with each user who is under that condition to ask him to delete the new version, and then reinstall the correct version.
Although it really does not have to be a limitation, the software does not have the functionality to work through proxy servers, which could become a limiting factor of some relevance for those who want to take care of "their presence" when working in an open network.
At our organization we use TeamViewer across our Americas Division by our Information Technology, Engineering, and Technical Support (mechanical and elector-mechanical) departments. All three use TeamViewer as a similar way to provide remote support for our internal and external "customers"; it's being used to remote in to computers as well as mobile devices.
TeamViewer is also being used to host meetings that require sharing your screen.
Pros
TeamViewer is extremely easy to deploy to different devices; it can be deployed via the use of a GPO.
Managing of users in TeamViewer is another thing that is done well; we can add users to groups as well as share those groups with other team members which is extremely helpful in environments with large groups of teams responsible for different groups of users.
TeamViewer does integration with other applications well, with Outlook being the most popular one in my opinion. With Outlook and TeamViewer integration you can see if others on the email thread are available for remote connection or not.
Cons
My number one proposed improvement for TeamViewer would be to improve the file transfer speed; it can be slow at times even on faster connections.
Another improvement I have in mind is to give users ability to build more information into the "Remote System Information" to include a list of installed software on the computer or apps on the mobile device.
TeamViewer Host for iOS would be a great improvement.

TeamViewer is a great solution for when you need to connect to a users computer or an mobile device for full control. It is also great for when a meeting needs to he hosted that requires sharing of your screen with other users. It is also great for sessions or meetings that need to be recorded; TeamViewer has that feature available out of the box.
I installed all my relatives so that I could quickly fix the computer. Convenient, even my mother uses it.
Helps remotely (from the phone and home PC) to perform various tasks that can be performed only on the work computer.
Sometimes my colleagues go into difficulties and then I can help them.
Allows you to restart the applications on a working computer that is always on, but there are errors due to an unstable Internet connection
Pros
Free, easy to use and install
The sound is transmitted along with the image, the ability to transfer files
Russian interface
Saving settings for each remote PC
Simple and convenient interface
Cons
Mobile version is very demanding to the Internet, the price for the latest version could be a little lower
You need to know the password (which is constantly changing) to gain access
Dependence on connection speed and computer power.
Long file transfer, no rights in someone else's PC.
High license price for corporate users

I constantly use the free version (for non-commercial use) of Teamviewer. I render remote assistance to friends and acquaintances. Updates come out very often. The program works even with a weak Internet, albeit very slowly, but there is access. Main functions: remote control of your computer, friends, acquaintances (if you need to help them), file transfer. It is necessary that Teamviewer be installed on both your computer and your remote computer. At least the version of Teamviewer Quick Support is remote. You need to know the client ID and password. If the password can not be transmitted in some way or can not be accessed, you can request remote control with a confirmation request (there are cases when a person does not understand computers at all). You can configure uncontrolled access to log in with your password if you have to often help, for example. Remote management means leaving the desktop of a remote computer, after which you can work on it almost as well as on your keyboard and mouse. There are functions - play sound from a remote computer, you can turn on chat, audiochat, conference.
Within our company, TeamViewer is used for collaboration, recording tutorials, and remote access. It is used across half our departments and provides easy access and collaboration for our users. While we have many similar tools, this one is by far the favorite of my boss for its ease of use.
Pros
TeamViewer is particularly convenient for collaborations and online meetings when something like Google Hangouts just isn't robust enough.
An added bonus we've discovered is the ability to record a session as a quick and easy way to make instructional tutorials.
The remote access feature is particularly nice so long as you secure it.
Cons
TeamViewer could offer logs of remote access in a weekly report to make tracking of access easier.
Likelihood to Recommend
Teamviewer is great for remote access and remote machine management. The IT department uses other tools for customer support sessions, generally though. However, if we need to record a remote support session with customers, this is our choice of tool. For meetings, colaborations and to record demonstrations it works really well.
