We use Slack at our commercial construction company to keep communication flowing between the field and the office, and it’s been a huge help. It’s super easy to stay connected, share updates, and make sure everyone’s on the same page. We also use separate channels to manage specific jobs and even handle things like PTO requests. It keeps everything organized and makes collaboration so much smoother. Slack is definitely a must-have for staying efficient and connected!

My company uses Slack to have immediate and direct communication within each department daily, Monday -Friday. We are a remote company that uses Slack daily for internal communications and building our company culture. Without slack, we would miss out on the opportunity to discuss work, expand our professional knowledge, and build our community. Although we use it primarily to communicate within our own team, we also have dedicated slack channels to connect with each of our clients.
Pros
Slack is great for organizing conversations via channels.
Slack helps us stay connected to each other and our clients.
Slack has many integrations to enhance the overall experience and make transitioning between various apps seamless.
Cons
It would be nice if slack's HubSpot integration worked in private channels as well as public channels so our internal communications could be logged automatically in HubSpot (we currently have to copy/paste relevant info).

I honestly believe Slack fits all business types and models. We have been using their free option, and although our history is limited, we could get on a paid plan if we needed to see farther back. I know there is an improvement coming soon to this. Although I use Slack daily for my main job, I'm also a yoga teacher on the side, and both studios I work for use Slack to organize our communication (one studio did so at my suggestion). It really is an extremely versatile and useful tool for everything.
