We implement SAP Commerce Cloud for our clients. Specifically, we use it to provide an end-to-end solution for eCommerce purchasing and customer support tool. We have leveraged the ASM tool to provide customer support allowing agents to use the real website to address customer issues. We also leverage SAP Commerce Cloud to list products on website, add to cart and then checkout.
Pros
Assisted Service Module for Customer Support
Out-of-box APIs for quick implementation
Promotion engine to maintain coupons, discounts, etc.
Cons
In my opinion, difficult user experience
In my experience, requires lots of training for end users
Likelihood to Recommend
SAP Commerce Cloud is well suited for both B2C and B2B organizations to facilitate an ecommerce-based experience. I would say due to its cost this is not the best option for smaller organizations.

While working with other SAP products, in our company we handled the integration of a SAP Commerce Cloud instance in a pre-existing SAP ecosystem, composed mainly by Customer Data Cloud and HANA for logistics/invoicing. The website was a B2C e-commerce for retail. The integrations included backend processes and a frontend website.
Pros
Integration with other SAP products
UX and navigation
Nice set of out-of-the-box fefatures
Cons
Pricing
Some payment methods are not supported by default
In some cases troubleshooting from SAP is required
Likelihood to Recommend
If in your ecosystem you already have some SAP products SAP Commerce Cloud is the perfect solution for you. It's possible to integrate with many other solutions but you won't have the same easy and seamless integration you'll get with other SAP products.

It's like having a Swiss army knife for your e-commerce needs. This platform can address a variety of business problems and scenarios, and its scope is pretty expansive. Since I have implemented SAP Commerce Cloud for my customers, it's hard to describe a single use case but there are several I can address. Online Store Management: This is the most common use. It allows us to list products, inventory, and orders and provides a really good and seamless experience. Multi-channel selling: This feature allows us to sell not only on your website but in other channels, like mobile apps, social media, and marketplaces, and with this tool, you reach a wider audience. Personalization: This is really cool. It allows us to customize the shopping experience for each customer by recommending personalized products, offers, and pricing to enhance customer satisfaction. B2B and B2C E-commerce: This feature is also cool because it has the tools to allow you to sell to other businesses or directly to consumers. Technically, it allows us to solve some of the most common business problems, such as limited e-commerce access, inefficient order processing, lack of personalization, scalability, and complex B2B transactions.
Pros
Order Management
Content Management
Multi-channel selling
Scalability
Cons
Pricing
Customization at a core level
Learning Curve
Performance optimization
Localization and Globalization

SAP Commerce Cloud is integral to our organization, enhancing customer experiences, streamlining order management, and providing valuable analytics. It's our go-to solution for scalable, personalized e-commerce.
Pros
Personalized Customer Journeys.
Omni-Channel Integration.
Data-Driven Insights.
Cons
Simplifying the customization process.
Improved documentation.
Greater visibility into the platform's performance.
Likelihood to Recommend
Certainly, SAP Commerce Cloud excels in scenarios requiring robust e-commerce capabilities, such as large-scale online stores with extensive product catalogs, complex pricing structures, and personalized customer experiences. It's also well-suited for businesses aiming to expand into multiple sales channels. However, for smaller businesses with limited resources, it may be less appropriate due to its complexity and cost.

I'm currently using SAP Commerce Cloud to perform implementations and customizations for our customers using B2C and B2B accelerators. Our main business domains are big technology retail sellers (B2C), clothes sellers (B2C), and service sellers (B2C and B2B). One of the main reasons that our customers choose SAP Commerce Cloud is due to its capacity to handle a large volume of transactions from a high number of concurrent users and the great capacity of scalability.
Pros
The capacity to handle large volume of transactions.
The technical support level.
Scalability capabilities.
High customization capacity.
Cons
The complexity of customizing core features are to high.
High costs compared to competence.
The support of new programming frameworks and tools for more flexibility.
Likelihood to Recommend
Among the scenarios to which it is best adapted is for the retail sale of almost any type of physical product, and on the contrary, where I think it is less adapted is for the sale of intangible products such as memberships or services.

Considering the autoscaling it's a really important part as most of the clients are using it for loads of users.
Pros

Easy to develop
Easy to scale
Fast integrations
User experience
Cons

I belong to the Partner Integration Team inside RA USA and we connect the Portal through headless commerce APIs with distributors and suppliers. The company doesn't know about SCPI so all the APIs are custom. I'm in RA since February 2nd, 2021 and as of today, I can say that we have so many issues product of bad assessment and incorrect implementation. A proof for that is to go into our code and check how the code has been written. However, we deal with issues with product master data, customer master data among others. We are integrated with SAP ECC and our business model is based on Subscription. RA sells bundles that contain software, maintenance, and support. SAP doesn't handle the bundle concept so we import part numbers from SAP ECC and we construct the bundle inside SAP Commerce. SAp Commerce calculates prices and feeds the information to different systems internally and everything is made manually.
Pros
product definition
price calculation
User experience
Cons
Performance
Bundling

Well suited for B2C retail Less appropriate for B2B under Business Model based in Subscription

We are currently implementing SAP Hybris in a B2B company. The solution that is being implemented will be used by the entire organization as a digital channel for taking orders from our client's business partners. SAP Hybris will allow us to provide business partners with a consistent digital channel that is integrated with the company's ERP and will also allow us to be more agile in the process of taking orders and sales.
Pros
SAP Hybris provides a true omnichannel across businesses
SAP Hybris brings a State-of-the-Art platform to customize and extend with particular business requirements
SAP Hybris delivers a secure and strong system to accomplish high security requirements
Cons
The implementation of SAP Hybris requires highly trained people with previous experience to achieve success.
SAP Hybris does not have a solution designed for small companies, it is a platform designed for medium and large companies, at least in Latam Market.
Likelihood to Recommend
SAP Hybris is the right solution for companies looking for a true omnichannel. It can be set across all the organization, in B2C or B2B traditional web channels, in-store, and many more. SAP Hybris integrates seamlessly with SAP ERP and other backend systems through multiple scenarios, Hot Folders, Web Services, Data Hub, etc.
SAP Hybris was used by the eCommerce department to handle online transactions, B2B integrations, and order management. It was used as a backbone for backend infrastructure without frontend and content management tools. It addressed eCommerce related problems: product catalog management, custom pricing, promotions, order fulfillment, billing, subscriptions, customer support tools, reporting and tax calculation.
Pros
Hybris YAAS - eCommerce as a Service. Great way to provide an eCommerce solution.
Modular infrastructure. Third-party vendors can easily provide hybris modules for a particular eCommerce aspect: payment, tax, fulfillment etc.
For a proprietary product hybris provides good documentation and community support.
Cons
Promotion management is not flexible. It comes with a few out of the box promotions, but if you need to do something advanced you need to customize it.
Customization of the promotions is very painful.
The object-relational mapping framework (aka items.xml) is a bottleneck. It stores all meta-information in a database which causes migration problems. Hope they allow you to build a persistence layer with standard JPA.
It's difficult to get help from official support. Last time I had to file a ticket through teh SAP system which wasn't user-friendly.
Likelihood to Recommend
SAP hybris is well suited for companies that want to open many eCommerce opportunities for business. For example it allows you to start with a solid eCommerce solution and then naturally grow it depending on business needs.
I wouldn't recommend using hybris for small companies, companies established in underdeveloped countries or companies without an engineering department.
