Nintex Workflow is a powerful automation tool that streamlines business processes directly within SharePoint.
We use it to manage documents efficiently, ensuring smooth approvals and version control.
For contracts, Nintex helps automate reviews, signatures, and compliance tracking.
In HR, it streamlines tasks such as onboarding, leave requests, and employee records.
It also supports order management by automating requests, approvals, and notifications.
Pros
Contracts approvals.
Documents approvals.
Expenses approvals.
Mileage approvals.
Cons
User Interface Complexity – Some workflows can become difficult to manage or troubleshoot, especially for non-technical users, so a more intuitive design experience would help.
Performance at Scale – Large or complex workflows can slow down execution; optimizing speed and scalability improves reliability.
Integration Flexibility – While it works well in SharePoint, expanding seamless integration with more third-party applications and modern cloud tools would enhance its usefulness.

Nintex is still the best Workflow designer, especially on-premises.
We use Nintex for Document Generation and eSignature use cases from salesforce. We have done a lot of customizations on top of Nintex DocGen and Assuresign for dynamic template selection, dynamic template data, custom emails, dynamic no.of signers, recipients, Nintex APIs for resending and cancelling signature emails, and many more use cases
Pros
Document Generation, particularly the merge fields i.e. salesforce data population on document, user access for docgen tool
Ability to use Nintex from Flows where we can implement all the custom logic
Excel as a middleware to implement dynamic signers
Cons
Nintex DocGen Deployment methods can be improved. Currently it creates a new package every time I want to deploy a change
More type of jot blocks and feature like making jot blocks read only
Customization for email templates on Assuresign. We can't use sender input on email templates. Only custom message is supported
Can't do calculations like some of jot block values in assuresign, This can be implemented
New fields are not synced to docgen automatically. Need to run the package again manually
Nintex Assuresign API's documentation is not clear and not upto date
Nintex Support Team can be improved
Likelihood to Recommend
Nintex for Salesforce covers all the basic use-cases of document generation and esignature also have the ability to use them from flows.
But lacks in customization and bit hard to implement complex use cases.

At [...], we are a company that provides professional automation services, and our partnership with Nintex is based on offering a professional roadmap that covers all phases of Digital transformation from digitization to robotic process automation. This allows companies to gain visibility and control over their processes, resulting in optimization that drives a significant boost in productivity.
Pros
Digitization of processes in a collaborative and user-friendly environment
Advanced RPA platform and digital documentation
Provides analytics and mobile-friendly environments within its applications
Nintex applications connect to and work with the most important applications in the technology ecosystem
Cons
Nintex can enhance and strengthen Automation Cloud by integrating Kryon's advanced technology into a single cloud-based platform.
smaller plans available for small businesses and SMEs in Latin America.
Enabling multi-language support in the most important applications
Likelihood to Recommend
Nintex is ideal for large enterprises as well as those with subsidiaries in other countries, since its digitization platform is hierarchical, highly organized, and can be used across the entire organization. It allows processes to be divided by departments or countries and makes it easy to adapt to the specific variations of each. However, for small local businesses, it may be an oversized solution.
We are still very much dipping our toes into the 'Nintex platform water,' as it were. Still, we already see benefits with workflow processes that can be customized beyond the out-of-the-box SharePoint experience. Nintex was recommended to us by our 3rd party SharePoint developers, who have been with us on the journey to transform a standard 'SharePoint' into a one-stop shop for all staff across the business. The workflows are easy to set up using their drag-and-drop methodology, and the forms even take the Adobe-created forms to the next level. The internal policy mandated a traditional On-Premise SharePoint Farm, and we are excited that Nintex recognizes this in their product offering by still supporting On-Premise Farms (SharePoint). The next step is to digitize our remaining paper forms and build more workflows. This is what I am excited about.
Pros
Nintex Forms.
Drag/drop workflow creation.
Read existing forms and convert them.
Cons
I haven't encountered any areas with room for improvement yet.
Likelihood to Recommend
Nintex is constantly releasing new updates to the process platform. We are partially mapping out our current processes and have already seen areas where we can reduce the overlapping work of various staff members. Process mapping and the platform take time, no matter how easy the tool makes it (it's easy). If you don't have the time or resources to commit to process or experience improvement, you may need to look internally to see if your business C-level is ready to 'improve' things. We learned this the hard way until we were able to show results.

We wanted to use Nintex to help with workflow assignments that are in a large SharePoint list. We moved from Microsoft Power Automate because of significant throttling issues. We manage over 1,100 projects each year and each project has upwards of 100 SharePoint list fields. We have multiple workflows (e.g. review of project as multiple steps) within each SharePoint list row that need to start when a date is entered for that project in the list. Power Automate was able to use date fields as triggers. Nintex Workflow cannot. We worked with Nintex engineers and their work around was to add two new fields for every workflow we want to kick off. That is a lot of extra work for a list that already has 100 fields. We keep asking Nintex to allow the condition builder to access date fields. It's been over a year without any progress. They seems to have a lot of turnover with their account team and we have to re explain what we want many times.
Pros
Sends emails
Cons
Need to be able to start workflows when a person enters a date in a SharePoint list
Likelihood to Recommend
We have not found anything Nintex can do that Power Automate can. It cannot look for changes in a date field to be able to start a workflow.
I use Nintex workflow for O365 for business forms and workflows. It helps in creating complex workflows. Nintex is more customizable such that it makes to implement the business solutions to the best.
Pros
Approval workflows
Document upload workflows
Timely jobs
Cons
It should be better if there is a low code plateform where normal users can create a workflow with out developers need.

We use NIntex for forms and workflows. They assist us in building complex solutions and extending what SPO can do out of the box. We use it to build anything from document approval systems, to support request sites. Our group's support request tool is 100% built in SPO and Nintex.
Pros
Approvals
Ticketing solutions
Complex forms with logic
Cons
Workflow reliability (items don't always trigger)
Load speed/efficiency
Form customization
Likelihood to Recommend
Nintex is well suited in environments where custom forms are required but you do not need the extra features and complexity of Power Apps. While Power Apps is more feature-rich, Nintex forms is easy to learn and far faster in terms of setup. We can easily build good looking, custom forms in >30 minutes using Nintex and this is not possible with Power Apps. It also does well when quick notifications or approvals are needed in workflows. In general, Nintex is an easier to use solution than Power Platform equivalents, though for some more complex applications, Power Platform is better.

We used Nintex forms and workflows to automate our business workflows. Their interface is very nice and easy to develop. It created lot of workflow automation and saved time from business in doing these things manually. It had good integration with O365 but now it seems to have some issues and now they are pushing to Nintex cloud for their workflows.
Pros
Nintex workflow and forms work very well to design small applications and workflows to support business processes.
Cons
Nintex forms do not have repeating tables which allows us to use lot of technical folks to write custom code.
Likelihood to Recommend
Nintex is good but it is costly and Microsoft's power apps and power platform can provide same functionality but if you are using multiple connectors then this may be cheaper than Microsoft as their licensing is very complex.

We use Nintex Platform to manage all the different activity of our clients. It depends on the client we prepare some workflows or several actions to process the data they generate. With all these data, they may manage different scenarios to process it and prepare reports for the direction or counsil.
Pros
Process data
Manage workflows
Create variables to use
Prepare information to show
Cons
Workflows Speed
Complexity of creation workflows
Reports Generation
Likelihood to Recommend
It is very hard to deploy different scenarios but similar to every client. With this platform we can use several workflows for different clients only modifying some things in them. It is very useful for us and we are able to accelerate the number of workflows we can manage at a time.

I create new solutions or re-architect new solutions to help support business processes that are not covered by existing enterprise solutions. Specifically I analyze and document the business requirements and then create the corresponding solution(s) that support the customer's needs
Pros
Supports complex approval and decision processes requiring different outcomes or iterations based on users' decisions
supports email enabled interaction with the solution to approve or reject outcomes vs. requiring users to be at their computer
beautifully interfaces with various web-based platforms including SharePoint and Salesforce
Cons
Automated a very complex approval process with high-level management requiring only lazy approval (email approval)
Automated a very complex rules based form which in its previous version was coded with complex JavaScript
Provides quick turnaround for simpler solutions
Likelihood to Recommend
Well-suited: approval processes, processes with various outcomes, integration of web-based systems (e.g Salesforce, SharePoint), complex forms, mobile usage. Not well-suited: high-volume data processing, machine integration
