The solution we use, K2 Automation, is specifically suited for enabling business processes and allowing the formal monitoring of workflows through integration and automation. Building of low code solutions is quick and easy but are lacking in testing and auto deployment (CI/CD). The existing tools can be updated to be more productive.

We are currently 80% moved from SharePoint on prem to M365. We have a number of applications that used various tools including Nintex workflows that require migration/redevelopment. There are lots of processes redevelopment is required. Process Platform has allowed to redevelop some of these applications without the need for specific developer skills due its no code nature. It also allows us to migrate quickly without the need to upskill

Nintex is Low code or say not code platform where less technical knowledge is required to design workflows and forms.
With Nintex, our main focus lies in optimizing and orchestrating various processes, channeling them into a seamless flow within the SharePoint environment. One of the standout features we extensively leverage is the ability to create and manage approval workflows directly through Nintex. This empowers us to design, automate, and monitor intricate approval processes, reducing manual effort and enhancing efficiency. Nintex serves as our robust tool for visualizing, implementing, and refining workflows, enabling us to harness the full potential of SharePoint while fostering collaboration and enhancing productivity. Whether it's automating routine tasks or facilitating complex approval chains, Nintex is our go-to solution for process enhancement and SharePoint integration.
Pros
Automate complex processes
Faster workflows with fewer interruptions
Reduce the amount of internal emails
Well documented processes
Cons
Partly very long lead times of workflows
Often troubles when running many transaction, than e.g. needs to be a wait added
Likelihood to Recommend
Nintex is exceptionally well-suited for rapidly illustrating various business processes with minimal effort. This is something even IT-savvy colleagues without a direct IT background can quickly learn. For instance, I was able to collaborate with colleagues from the finance department to swiftly establish a process for approving credit applications. However, if the approver requires additional information and requests it, implementing this within Nintex becomes quite challenging. When attempting to convey highly intricate details, Nintex encounters limitations or demands a substantial amount of effort.

We use Nintex Promapp to capture and document our business processes and the workflow products to automate a number of our processes. All of our business processes have been mapped and we have undergone a number of external audits (ISO9001) by 3rd Parties and all have been extremely impressed. We use Nintex to generate forms and to enable processes such as raising purchase requisitions, IT service requests etc and we probably have close to 25 processes captured in this way.
Pros
Processes are laid out in a way that is easy to understand and follow and is intuitive.
Process forms are very easy to generate.
Creation of the workflows is intuitive.
Cons
The Risk and Training add-ons are not as intuitive as the process management tool.
The ability to configure reports/dashboards in Promapp would be useful, at the moment we have to export via excel and then manipulate.
It would be good to be able to add colour to process maps to further aid understanding
Likelihood to Recommend
The process management platform is great for documenting processes and how activities are done. It clearly allows you to identify process inputs and outputs and enables process steps to be logically formed with clear owners for the different activities and tasks. It well suited for processes that have lots of detailed work instructions as you are able to link various file formats including video to describe how an activity is performed. It is also well suited to capture simple request workflows which require a form to kick off a process such as raising a salary change request, travel booking, maintenance etc
We use it to create both automated forms for data entry and automated workflows for business process automation (both full and partial process automation).
Pros
Handling multiple flows in an automated manner
Handling various UX capabilities very well in Forms
Migrates easily from on-site hosting to Cloud version of Nintex
Cons
Pricing! Very disappointed in the new pricing model they have introduced in the last 12 months.
Integration to migrate forms and workflows to and from O365 tools
Likelihood to Recommend
Nintex can be very useful and a great means of automating entry and business processes. The problem is that the organization has significantly changed their pricing model to a "per execution" model and they almost tripled the annual cost estimate to our budget. This was very shocking and really poor approach to managing a business relationship. We are looking at other options, not so much because of the tool but because of the organization and how they are running the business.
