As a Scrum Master I use Miro mainly for doing Retros and PI Plannings. We also use it for refining requirements and discuss them to create user stories out of them.

I remember a project where all our different teams were involved in it. I created a board with timelines, KPIs, and customer journey stages, and each team added their input live. My team uses Miro to brainstorm, document infrastructure architecture, discuss ideas, model database entities, and a lot more. Obviously Miro is amazing at process mapping, creating architectural maps, and data models but I believe the most underrated use for Miro is just getting ideas out of your head and onto a system where you can discuss them with others. Of the many tools offered by my company, Miro is one of the most flexible and helpful to drive discussions and map and evaluate ideas.

It is also very good for documenting certain types of things. It is not, however, a wiki replacement. Managing multiple boards that are related to similar topics can be difficult so it should not be used as a wiki replacement or a replacement for whatever document management system you use.

It is excellent for Designers, Product Owners, who need to collaborate on the basis of visual material. This involves running workshops to align priorities, keep a central repository of feature development schedule, illustrate features or workflows, align initial effort estimation, and the like.

This program is so amazing, I use it for things outside of my company. If you are a creative or just someone who is a visual processor, this program is a MUST for your team.

It reduces the number of 'check in' meetings and keeps things rolling more effectively, as we can add notes and answer questions at convenient times.
