Overall Satisfaction with Avalara

We use Avalara for our sales, which is company-wide. It is used to calculate tax and submit sales tax returns in all of the states that we are currently registered in. We intend to also use Avalara's system, CertCapture, to manage exemption certificates, which we are just beginning.

Pros

  • Tax calculation by jurisdiction.
  • Submit sales tax returns.

Cons

  • Support should do a better job of reading the case submitted and not simply reply with the first canned response.
  • Help us more with the problems we have encountered with the software company, Argentis.
  • I see this as a neutral experience for us thus far
I wish that they had a better User's Guide, rather than having us chase around in their Avalara University and Help Center.
The other product was terrible. There is no comparison to be made.
