Veeam Data Platform has been designed to harness the power of the cloud, including protecting cloud workloads, storing backups in the cloud, and leveraging the cloud for disaster recovery. Describe whether your organization has benefitted from these capabilities, and how.

From 27 reviews | Last Published May 30, 2026

Reviewers frequently leverage Veeam Data Platform's cloud capabilities, primarily for cloud backup storage and disaster recovery. A significant 56% of reviewers utilize the platform for cloud backup storage, often citing its use for offsite copies, immutable storage, and long-term data retention for compliance. The platform also demonstrates strong performance in disaster recovery, with 37% of reviewers reporting successful restorations and reduced recovery times, even in cases of major hardware failures. Overall, the platform is seen as a valuable tool for enhancing data protection and recovery through cloud integration, though not all organizations have fully adopted its cloud features or found it universally applicable for all cloud-related tasks.

Future Cloud Adoption

We have a minimal cloud presence but I'm sure as we grow Veeam Data Platform will meet the need as we are able to use several of the functions we use in our private cloud for the public space.

Cloud Backup Storage

We have a simple use case, so our cloud usage is to use it as off-line storage for immutable cloud buckets.

Disaster Recovery

It has worked well, and thankfully, we haven't needed to restore, but we are glad that the option is there.
