Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Platform

We utilize Veeam Backup & Replication for all our business-critical backup requirements. The backups are quick and easy to restore, and I have trained new team members on restoration in just a few minutes.

Pros

  • SQL Database backups.
  • Backup Copies.
  • Data replication to a secondary data center.

Cons

  • The data access pause when backing up an SQL database could be improved.
  • Better integration to allow VMware data sources to replicate to Azure and not just copy.
  • Integrated off-site immutable backups.
  • Good backup platform that meets our needs.
  • Veeam BNR needs a better reporting structure for audits.
Veeam is far easier to use than Commvault and offers easier SQL backups than Acronis.
