What is Piwik PRO?

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Since Google Universal is slowly being phased out and with privacy becoming more and more important we decided to look for alternatives. For this moment besides GA4. We've tried several alternatives but most didn't have all the features we needed, were too expensive, or in our mind didn't have the right data safety model. With Piwik Pro, we are now testing on our corporate site and using Piwik as the only program on our Vacancy site. The great thing about Piwik is that the look in feel is quite a lot like Google Universal Analytics and such is easy to understand and comprehend for many of our users. Most of the features exist and with two weekly releases, Piwik is getting better and better. Since we are looking into and testing whether we can ditch Google altogether Piwik is especially on our shortlist because of the integrated tag manager and consent manager. The tag manager works pretty great but sometimes I experience some caveats, especially when debugging. Most of the time it ironically has to do with my own browser's privacy settings.

Pros

Easy to understand and read data.
Great authorisation management and switching between sites.
Your own and easy to remember login.
Community forum with developers and users.
Simple and quick settings.

Cons

Filtering: ip ranges, hostnames, regex. These are a few things that aren't possible like we are used to.
Tag Manager: not all tags/triggers are possible yet to what we are used to.
Are more progressive payment model: more little steps to buy a plan.
Custom dimensions: they weren't available but are now. But they aren't that user friendly yet as I'm used to.

Piwik Pro helps process large volumes of information and data, counting With the US, Chinese, and Russian laws. This platform can be implemented using a desktop computer or through an Android phone.

Pros

Manage all campaigns and increase large volumes of data.
It has an excellent activity panel through which you can have complete visibility of each activity you carry out.
It's great to track all interactions between users and track all conversions.

Cons

Integrate with other tools could be improved, because it's a bit hard to do.
It has functions similar to Google Analytics, it is quite easy to understand and the user interface is fascinating.
Its cost is quite understandable given the great functions that it has allowed us to use for marketing.

Allows you to integrate with the best visualization tools, create campaigns, and much more.
It has helped us improve productivity with SharePoint and Office 365.
It has given us templates that are completely customizable, which can be used for the creation of labels.

We have obtained a good impact both economically and in data integration.
It has allowed us to collect and analyze all the data of our clients, and to create groups that allow us to divide potential clients and make personalized messages.
We use the Enterprise plan because it provides us with the necessary tools and unlimited features.

Piwik Pro is more user-friendly than Google Analytics, and it is also simple to learn. It gave us detailed reports that made it easy to figure out what was going on. It’s a fantastic tool for tracking and analyzing marketing campaigns, private websites, and mobile applications. Piwik Pro is jam-packed with unmatched features and functionality in the industry. It’s a lot more accurate and easier to use than Google Analytics, which is a huge plus. As a result, we have access to higher-quality data and a comprehensive range of metrics for analysis. It also filters out referrer spam, which is something that Google does not do at all.
