Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Outgrow for client polls, product surveys but the main use is to create an ROI calculator on our company website. The purpose of the calculator is for users to understand their savings depending on past incident trends.

Pros

  • ROI Calculator
  • basic and advanced surveys
  • Quick poll questions

Cons

  • The UI is a bit elaborate, it seems a bit too much when I want something basic
  • The results emails were a bit confusing to setup but support was great in getting this fixed
  • Only one Admin can use the basic service

  • It has lead to better engagement with our clients
  • Prospects can easy understand their savings with the ROI calculator
  • Surveys have defined some user gaps in our solution

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Outgrow to create interactive quizzes which helps generate leads. It helps solve the problems of low engagement and conversion issues. It also helps my marketing campaign and customer education about my product. It's no code platform makes it super easy to use without any technical expertise in the subject.

Cons

  • Screen/Device responsiveness as some calculators don't adapt well too all device sizes
  • Pricing- It is a bit expensive for me as a small business
  • Better Analytics tools beyond the set of basic ones available

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Outgrow has helped me to take a somewhat complicated survey and turn it into a stealthy automation trigger (with an integration to ActiveCampaign). There are several features of Outgrow that I'm not yet using, but I have a number of different quiz and survey types on the go. Tech is not my favorite thing, and I find Outgrow's support team very helpful.

  • Simplify some of the equation instructions - I need to read them several times LOL

Return on Investment

  • I've not used Outgrow in the capacity I first anticipated, so my ROI measures are nominal. That being said, I know I'm saving over $100 per month on using one tool instead of many.

Pros

  • Beautiful templates you can use as a starting point for your quizzes and calculators.
  • Easy to use the platform, no developer or coding needed to create amazing quizzes.
  • Allows for complex branching logic chains based on how users answer questions.
  • Offers multiple integrations with 3rd party email marketing software.

Cons

  • Customer support is very responsive but not always helpful in solving your issues.
  • The app sometimes crashes on me while using.
  • While easy to use there is still a learning curve if you want to create more complex quizzes and calculators. More instructional videos would help.

Return on Investment

  • ROI was positive after the first month due to a dramatic increase in email opt-ins for our email list.
  • We are able to create amazing quizzes and calculators much faster than we used to and without the help of a developer.

Pros

  • It engages potential customers.
  • It's a sort of "pick your own adventure" which appeals to a lot of people.
  • Outgrow has a number of different ways you can formulate the quiz, so there are different options to fit various styles you want to present to people.

Cons

  • Some of the formulas, if you want to do more complicated quizzes, need their help. You can do simple quizzes easily. I wanted/needed something much more complicated. They did help me out for an additional fee - but it was reasonable.
  • I would love to see more examples of how/why so I can emulate them. Or even a "duplicate" another quiz and use my own words.

  • It has brought new visitors to my website.
  • It has injected a new and fun way to weed through potential customers.
