Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We currently use IBM Apptio to do the financial reporting for the various state agencies and offices under DofA. IBM Apptio has made it so that we are not spending so much time on reporting monthly, because we have the reports sent to IBM Apptio directly and then we validate the reports prior to sending to Directors. We have been able to provide more information to each Agency and Office since using IBM Apptio since we do not have to spend so much time compiling the reports.

We use the application for cost monitoring and allocation. The tool is quite useful in segregation of the costs.
The Business problems solved are for the following objects: Vendors, Applications, Fixed Assets, Time Tracking, IT/Non IT split, Budgeting and Forecasting.
The scope of the use cases are across the global regions of the organisation.

  • We can use the Cost Model for using the Allocation at the granular level like as leaf level
  • We have implemented the archive process also so we will maintained the histo view

  • For Validation purpose, if possible, enable the JavaScript code so we can the hide the Tab based on current period and more validation we can perform on client side.
  • Sometimes we are faced the data load issue
  • Improvement the performance tunning
