It has been very helpful to use the calendar to schedule social media posts in advance. Our marketing team is remote and therefore in different timezones often so it has been vital in keeping our social media strategy consistent. It's also nice to see the different profiles we use in one place to make sure they are getting an equal amount of quality content.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Hootsuite to manage our inbound messages, day-to-day scheduling, analytics, trend tracking, and so much more. The product helps us navigate social media and effectively plan among our team. Without Hootsuite we would be unable to effectively manage the 4 platforms we are active on and furthermore would struggle to make approvals easier.

Our biggest reason for taking on Hootsuite was of course me, but also for their exceptional analytics tools!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Hootsuite for composing posts, scheduling posts and publishing on Facebook and LinkedIn. We occasionally use it to moderate messages as well. This helps us cut down some time spent on social media management. We also use Hootsuite listening to identify trends related in our province that are relevant to our stakeholders and beneficiaries.

Pros

  • Owly GPT is a really valuable feature that saves a lot of time
  • Recommended times for posting
  • Ease of creating posts across platforms and the ability to switch tabs to tweak/customize content by platform

Cons

  • Threads does not work well on Hootsuite - cannot post to a topic, unable to tag
  • Doesn't support Bluesky social
  • Analytics are difficult to use and don't provide metrics I need for my work

I use Hootsuite mainly for content scheduling. Hootsuite helps keep our content organized and it's helpful to see everything laid out in a content calendar. We're a local organization of about 12-24 people, but we serve a whole county. I think we could be better about using more of Hootsuite's analytics features.
