Companies go through changes and flexibility in a refund policy is important. In a field as dynamic as social media management, providing companies the flexibility to enter into and exit out of a partnership is important. While I enjoyed Hootsuite, our company adopted Zoho for a multitude of business needs that Hootsuite is unable to provide. Zoho has a built in social media management tool, and that made Hootsuite redundant for us. Instead of providing the flexibility for a proration of services, Hootsuite is forcing us to complete our annual plan. For this, I do not recommend Hootsuite - in fact, Zoho Social offers everything Hootsuite does at a lower cost, with more flexibility for a changing business landscape.

At my organization, we use Hootsuite for all our social media posts scheduling on all different channels such as Linkedin, twitter, etc. The analytics from Hootsuite is also very good, it helps us in analysing the quality of our posts, the impressions its hitting & the likeability of the post as well. The sentiment analysis is one feature i really like alongside the social listening it provides. The analytics is very good & it helps us in improvising on making our content better each day so that we are able to increase the engagement on the posts. The AI recomendations are also very good which are provided by Hootsuite. I would say its a must have tool for all organisations for all their social media management, social listening , social ad analytics & social advertising analytics. Must recommended for all.

Hootsuite is best suited for organizations with less team members & loads of work to be done. The scheduling comes handy with such tools as it takes a lot of bandwidth of a person when posts have to be posted manually. It is less appropriate if a team member has bandwidth for daily posting.

We've been using Hootsuite for several years now and it is still our Social Media Management tool of choice. We get all the features needed in our daily work, it constantly evolves and provides new features and tools - and all of that for an unbeatable price point. I also like to recommend Hootsuite during my lectures as a great tool to start with that leaves almost no wishes open.

Hootsuite works weel in environments with small teams and a set number of social accounts, like organizing Social Media for a company, agency or ambitioned single users. We manage 5 Social Media Accounts for our employer with a team of three people and Hootsuite is the tool that suits or needs best for an unbeatable price.

Having the not for profit discount has been of great benefit to our organisation. I would love for this to one be free of charge especially for the smaller charities that need to use an alternative to Hootsuite. I would also like to to have Hootsuite reflect the analytics from the other social platforms

My organization mainly uses Hootsuite for content planning and scheduling. It is so helpful to be able to plan content out for multiple social platforms a month or more in advance. Occasionally, we will use Hootsuite to monitor inboxes or check analytics but we mostly use it for planning.

  • Very easy to use and simple calendar view of all content that is scheduled
  • Social performance score is helpful for us to determine where we need to improve or where we've been doing well
  • The create a post feature is very user friendly and simple to use

Cons

  • On the month calendar view, I wish it showed which platforms posts are published on instead of just saying "2 published"

I use Hootsuite to plan, create and organize my social media posts for FB, IG and LinkedIn.

Pros

  • The setup to create a post is very good
  • The calendar helps me tremendously to organize posts and find older ones to recycle
  • For IG posts the feature of adjusting the pictures helps a lot
  • The feedback about my social performance is of high importance and help

Cons

  • Videos I submit for IG are within the minutes the portal allows and you say it cannot be uploaded, I have to use an external link to compress it as I do not know how to use the tool you provide, and I am being told it is not necessary as the video is not longer than IG would take if I were not using you

Posting on FB, IG and LinkedIn and scheduling them I am not sure the optimized time for LinkedIn is correct, as it always suggests me only one, the following Tuesday, at 9 am, but no other days or times. In regards to video upload to IG it does not take what IG takes when done manually on IG, our videos are within the allowed time frame and Hootsuite says they are not.

Hootsuite allows me to schedule posts months in advance which is helpful for scheduling national and federal holiday social media posts. As well as post the same thing across multiple platforms and tweak per platform. And then is integrated with analytics and the ability to listen in on trends within certain keywords. It really allows me to plan ahead with some planned product marketing social media posts.

  • I would like to see the ability to plan better on the planning page. like when I click a certain time on the calendar it populates with the top of the hour not the closest time
  • I would like more of the listening to be included in some of the packages, also the ability to see what's negatively affecting the different keywords

With the ever-growing social platforms, Hootsuite makes it 1000x easier to post across platforms and customize content from one place. We have The capacity and time this software has saved us is incredible! And the fact that they offer a discount to eligible nonprofits is just icing on the cake.

Hootsuite is an absolute blessing if you are managing multiple social platforms for a business or organization and are trying to compete with attention across social platforms by posting consistently. If you are only managing 1 or 2 platforms, it might not be as appropriate, or if you have a large team of people solely focused on social media content.
