I use the Co-Pilot function as an accountant and tax preparer. My clients use Expensify to create reports for reimbursements, quarterly expenses, and to store receipts digitally. This lets them save on storage and paper by prioritizing digital receipts. The ease of use, especially for the mobile apps, allows users to submit receipts in real time. None of my usage has used the expense claim tool, but I see that as a tool with high value.

It is great to track quarterly expenses to be reimbursed to employees. It makes it very easy for my clients to submit expense reports on a regular basis with all the source documentation I need. This allows us to work much more efficiently. It is also very handy for tracking travel costs for business. Given my experience with Expensify, I cannot think of scenarios that are less appropriate, my biggest complaint was issues with the integration, although that was years ago when I was working at a different firm and it could have been due to user errors of my old team.

Expensify simplified and streamlined a previously-manual process that required multiple internal workflows for expense submission and approval. Employees really like the Receipt Scan feature. The plafrom is also customizable in terms of how much expense classification and description levels are required, and that helps our Accounting department. We've not deployed the Travel area for booking and planning business trips, but we use the rest of functionality pretty heavily for field employee expense management and expense reporting.

I have used a variety of apps and platforms but none as smooth as Expensify. For a large workforce, or a small one, Expensify strikes a balance between employee-friendly and employer-friendly. The user-friendliness is often mentioned by the employees, and the employer has plenty of checks and balances. It checks all the boxes for us.

We use it to submit our personal expenses. It makes things super easy and streamlined, especially the ability to add to a report from my phone. I can take real-time snapshots of my receipts (takes away the fear of losing them!).

  • It's a little challenging to find how to turn off auto-submissions and the support chat is helpful but the instructions they gave me do not match with what I can see (minor thing to improve)

As a traveling business professional, the simplicity and ease of use in submitting expenses can save me valuable time. With Expensify, l love that i can quickly log on, enter an expense, reciept and description very quickly, and even if i dont complete it, the system saves my info so i can continue if i get pulled away from the initial task. Many entry processes which typically were very time consuming in other systems, are now able to be done without the hassles of delays, errors etc. Previously i would wait to enter reports because i knew it would be time consuming, which resulted in missed expenses, costing me $$$. I am able to enter expenses quickly instead of sorting through many receipts at the end of each week or month.

As a Google Cloud Specialist, I live in a world of efficiency and automation. Expensify fits perfectly into that workflow. The SmartScan feature is incredibly accurate and saves me a significant amount of time. I just snap a photo of a receipt, and Expensify handles the rest. The entire process, from capturing an expense to submitting a report for approval, is seamless and intuitive. It's a tool that just works, letting me focus on my clients instead of paperwork.

It is an easy to use product, with a quick learning curve. Users only need a phone to submit reports. Backend workflows take care of everything else one the picture is taken.

My company is using Expensify as an expense management tool that helps us employees create expenses with an easy to upload receipt and a google map receipt for the mileage exported in an expense report to be submitted to our direct manager to which they can easily verify the authenticity of the expenses.

Pros

  • The ease of creating a receipt from Google Map for mileage expense.
  • The ease of collating all expenses in 1 comprehensive report.
  • The ease of expense verification.

Cons

  • I can't think of anything as this is already very comprehensive.
  • Maybe a tutorial of where to get the values to be input in the expense.
  • If it can be more color coded.

Likelihood to Recommend

I enjoyed being able to see all my expenses in one report where my manager can understand them easily. Also, it is easier to browse all historical expense reports without the hassle of looking into different places. If I need to verify if my reimbursements were processed, I can know the status in the app as well.

We use Expensify for reimbursement, which needs to be fast and accurate. We are a global organization, so being able to submit expenses quickly and be reimbursed nearly the same day is excellent.

  • Naming of reports automatically is a little annoying but not a big deal

Expensify is a de facto platform for managing expenses. It provides a clear overview of the report, expenses, and the approval flow. The easy usage ensures expenses are filed within the right periods, and a limited amount of time is spent on the activity. The approval log minimizes any issues around the approval, and avoids email-bouncing when questions occur.

The ease of use of Expensify makes it easy to log expenses and process reports. Minimal time needed spent on admin, more time productive activities.

Other solutions proved cumbersome when filing expenses which lead to delayed and time-consuming submissions and approvals.

With Expensify, it's easier to keep get the expenses submitted in the rght corresponding peiriods.

Managing my expenses as i am a frequent traveller. Expensify is very easy and simple to use. it has a good interface and i love the feature of sending expenses directly from personal email id. I can upload all my monthly and keep track of them easily. I can directly send cab bills via email.

My organization uses Expensify for travel reimbursement and any work-related expenses. Employees submit expense reports to the HR administrator who quickly reviews and allows for work-incurred expenses to be taken onto the company's expenses instead of placing the burden on the employee. With fairly consistent travel across multiple employees, it is helpful to have a platform that efficiently allows everyone to be reimbursed.

  • Quickly updates firm administrator of submitted expenses and changes to expenses
  • Verifies legitimacy of expenses
  • Sends reimbursement deposits quickly

Cons

  • App usability. Report/classifying expenses could be more simplified to placing common expenses near the top of a dropdown list rather than alphabetical and by search
  • Integration/expense tracking. Having a consistent check with a declared credit card is good, but could use improvement
  • Report creation could be more simplified

Likelihood to Recommend

Expensify is fantastic in its function and efficiency. Improvement as far as I can tell is only desired (not necessary as already decent) would be in app interfaces.
