Use Cases and Deployment Scope

At our company, Expensify is used to process and reimburse expenses incurred by employees using their personal funds. Expensify provides a reporting structure (which categorizes expenses by department, use category, and further description) as well as a reimbursement structure (direct deposit). Expensify also helps with compiling reimbursements making the life of the approving supervisor easy.

Cons

The SmartScan receipt feature doesn't work sometimes.
Perhaps a suggestion feature for categories based on prior submissions.

I've never encountered any issues with Expensify. As a manager approving expenses it has always organized and collected data incurred by employees very well. As an employee submitting expenses, it has been very speedy with reimbursement and filing of expenses. The entire process is very smooth which is why I don't see our company switching any time soon.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Expensify is a great tool for tracking and managing professional expenses. Our team can enter their receipts and travel information to receive compensation quickly. We primarily use the tool to log and reimburse team members when using their personal cards for business related expenses. The higher-up assigned to approve each employees expenses, is easily notified and from that point the funds are reimbursed to the employees account efficiently.

Easy to use and receive funds quickly. Track receipts, expenses, air fare, travel, gas/ mileage all in one place and submit to employer. Decision makers can overview and approve/ deny certain expenses. Reimbursement for business expenses when using personal cards.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Expensify is great for tracking, submitting, and approving personal business expenses. Compared to other software I've used, this is far and away a cleaner feel and more user-friendly. Even the mobile version is easy to use. The auto scan feature is handy, I can quickly upload a receipt so I don't forget and then come back later and check that all the details are correct.

I don't go on many long business trips requiring flights, but I do have to log miles occasionally, and the create from map tool makes it easy to get everything entered. Finding past reports and expenses is convenient also.

The "Insights" page is neat, but not particularly useful
Sometimes I need to submit a two page receipt or supporting docs and only one page uploads

Expensify is very user-friendly. The interface is clean and notifications are customizable, so I don't feel like I'm getting bombarded with unnecessary messages.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As a freelancer, Expensify has been critical to my expense management for over 10 years. I use it to keep track of everything for tax purposes and reimbursements. It’s extremely user-friendly and perfect to use on-the-go. Every time I turn in expenses to my accountant from Expensify, he is always thoroughly impressed. I recommend it to all of my freelancer friends regularly.

Expensify makes it so easy to track expenses on trips. The UI especially for per Diem and mileage tracking is very simple to use.

It is also setup in our organization to have our reports be automatically submitted on a certain day each month taking away another admin task to remember.

Expensify is fantastic. What used to be so tedious and cumbersome on OTHER expense report softwares, is now an absolute breeze! I travel 3-4 times a month for business and I am always so busy, it should not be a long winded process to submit a report. I can accomplish it so fast through Expensify, I love it.

Being able to NAME your reports that you submit.

I use Expensify for the first time for a work trip, and found it makes the whole process of reporting expenses a breeze. The UI is clean and intuitive, everything is well organized by event and combined into a report.

I often have 3 trips & some other company expenses cooking at any one time, as you need to purchase airfare in advance, book hotels, sometimes purchase swag, etc. Used to have an excel spreadsheet for each one and it was a nightmare. I use Expensify app on the go for photos of receipts I used to lose (physically & the money from reimbursement), and then the web browser to sort into reports, organize and submit. Best thing since sliced bread!

Cons

On my last trip a few photos didn't work, and it messaged me 5 min later when I was gone. Will have to figure out what later and find the credit card charge. Bummer, but I'm still overall happy with Expensify!

Expensify monitors monthly expenses and produces reports for reimbursement without making me keep track of paper receipts. It has freed up 2-3 hours a month of paperwork time for me.

I use Expensify for my job and while I have not came across any problems at the moment, Expensify makes it easy to work with very user friendly I would say so myself, don't have anything bad since there's never been a problem I would definitely recommend it.
