Project transaction handling and report creation is great. A lot of options to get the report results our managers need quickly with Report Designer, GI's, and Dashboards...plus connectivity to Power BI and Velixo for extra complex layouts and formulas.

Our company required we use an ERP solution. The firm moved from a legacy CPA practice management program to Acumatica ERP. This was a large scale change.

  • API integration with external applications needs to improve
  • Professional services functionality specific to CPA accounting
  • Scheduling/resource utilization

Likelihood to Recommend

Ability to work with a VAR to setup the ERP out of the box and differently than we used to do it. CPA accounting is not the core industry of Acumatica customer base, so some customization was required.

I work in the finance department in my company. I work with accounts payable. It gives very valuable reports to help keep our vendors happy and payments made on time. It also provides easy ways to make payments through different vendors

  • Integration with other platforms to provide an easier way to use the product
  • Lots of reports to fulfill you needs
  • A good way to keep everything in a single place and I like how everything works together well
  • They listen to your needs and help as much as possible

  • An easier collections modular
  • A easier way to make dashboards
  • A way to customize the dashboard to make it pleasing for however you wish to look at it

Currently we are using Acumatica for Accounts Payable and General Ledger transactions. We are in a transitional state between an old system and a new system. Acumatica provides us with ease of use and workflow management that is light years better than our old system. We have the ability to automated workflow and finding information is as easy as one simple search.

Pros

  • Ease if use, everything is easy to find and easy to navigate.
  • Finding information, there are tons of hyperlinks and the search function is wonderful.

Cons

  • Fixed assets, there are limitations in what you can do and you often have to jump through hoops to achieve your end goal.

Likelihood to Recommend

Acumatica is very well suited for those that want an out of the box option or a more customized option. There is the ability to do both here. Customization does take some knowledge and time to learn but is doable. Features for service oriented business are not yet what they are for the construction, manufacturing, and retail industries.

Acumatica has a wide use case in scenarios where inventory management or resource management are paramount. A persistent in and out flow of resources. In more stagnant operations, or more free form professional services engagements, it may not have much applicability.
