Overall Satisfaction with Webex Calling

Webex Calling was initially used as an external communication tool. With Cloud comms evolving, Webex Calling took a fair amount of time to evolve and we ended up going to Zoom for our primary external communication needs. Webex Calling was also integrated with our call conferencing bridge, which was a good asset.

  • Integration with mobile devices
  • single number reach
  • Integration with the remaining Cisco portfolio.

Cons

  • UX improvements
  • Limited integraton with other tools
  • The Webex mobile app (vs using native calling) is not very good.
  • cost managment (voice usage)
  • Cost saving - when looked into with the rest of cisco portfolio.
  • Single pane of glass and extensive UC offer
  • Support could be better
  • Extensive professional capable of handling their tech
Cisco Webex Meetings only. We've used Zoom and Teams in parallel.
Webex Calling works well in terms of providing a secure collaborative space, meeting, and call. It has good security features, interoperability and participant management, but it's overall falls short of the competitors, getting the upper hand only if moving from other Cisco experiences or aggregating portfilio.
Webex Calling is in the top 3 of best cloudcomms solutions, together with teams and Zoom. cisco has the strongpoint of being a joint portfolio offer, where you can acquire the routers/switches/wifi together with the UC making if simpler to have just one provider to work with. With Teams and Zoom you get a better cloud experience, which allows for more simplicity. My thumb rule on this is, if youre a cisco house, defo look into the cisco UC portfolio and see if it fits. If you're not, check the alternatives as they offer a better experience out of the box.

if your organization is in a 100% cisco environment, going with cisco Webex Calling makes sense - you can even profit from higher discounts and saving from the enitre portfolio. Especially with the move from legacy on-prem licenses to cloud alternatives. If oyur organization is not a cisco house, you have better options for UC tools.
