Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We started out with Payroll and Time and Labor in August 2025, which have been game changers. Prior to Paylocity, we used ADP for payroll and time and attendance, AND manual time off request entries. Even though we're a small organization, it was a nightmare, and we were operating in the "dark ages." Since implementing Paylocity Payroll and Time & Labor (implementation and support were GREAT and exceeded my expectations), we have eliminated ALL manual entries and payroll goes off without a hitch every time. And when there are errors, which are on my end, support is quick to help resolve issues. We also use Community, Recruit, Onboarding, Performance, and Learning, all of which have been game changers. I am a HR department of one, so I'm still learning to fully utilize the entire suite of Paylocity products. My goal when moving to this system was to improve the overall employee experience and leave systems better than I found them for the next HR person in our organization. My honest feedback of Paylocity in one word - GLORIOUS!

Pros

  • Very end-user friendly. Our employees love the interface and the ease of use.
  • Reporting is a great feature and makes compliance reporting seamless. It's also given me more information than I expected, which makes our CEO and Board very happy!
  • The system integrates with our benefits vendor, which has eliminated errors in deduction processing.

Cons

  • Being a department of one and still learning all the features, I have no suggestions at this time.
  • ROI - reduced time expenditures, reduced errors, more consistent processes, better workforce visibility, improved retention, reduced costs, or better data-driven decision-making.
Payroll/Time and Labor Automation have affected us by reducing time to process Payroll from around 8 hours to around 2 hours. Onboarding has created a better employee experience.
Our team members LOVE Community and use it frequently to acknowledge and support one another. HR uses it for announcements, training, etc.
Paylocity has definitely made my job in HR easier and has reduced errors and processing times, but most importantly, it's created a great experience for our employees. They love it!

Again, going back to being a department of one, responsible for payroll, time and attendance, recruiting, learning and development, compliance, etc., this is a great system.
