Overall Satisfaction with Notion

It is our knowledge base to share information among teams in an async way. We have to keep live documentation through product development lifecycle, and Notion gives us an opportunity to collaborate easily and get notified if anything changes. In the meantime, it's easy to use it to see the history of our product decisions and share with the teams who just needs to know.

Pros

  • Well structured tables
  • Documents and relations between them (hierarchy)
  • Integration with other tools
  • Providing transparency across the company

Cons

  • It gets slower time to time
  • Too many features
  • Customized pricing plans
  • Less sync meetings
  • Less number of SaaS tools
  • Outcomes with better quality
It's quite intuitive to use, the only problem is there are many different ways of doing the same thing and there are too many features. Sometimes, it makes you feel like you are not using the right way to do it but otherwise it's esthetically pleasing, always syncs beautifully and lets you create your own environment.
The key thing is the sustainability and reliability for me. Code also looks pretty cool but Notion has more clients and I believed they saw more use cases to handle.

I think if you build something from ground up, Notion is a great tool to start with. It has a huge community and templates where you can easily get inspired. Also, you can customize it according to your existing workflow and make it your own. Once you keep everything on Notion, it makes a lot more sense and it becomes your go to tool at work.
