Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

monday.com is a versatile tool for managing customers and scheduling various tasks. Integration with Google Calendar allows our delivery crews, installers, and sales team to stay updated on the progress of specific jobs. Using automations with Google Calendar, email, and Trello further enhances our system's efficiency and effectiveness. It's an impressive web-based system that address many of our needs.

Pros

  • Being able to define daily 'capacity' limits allow us to realistically schedule work for each day, and adjusting that schedule for the 'unforeseen' is simple.
  • Through Automations being able to 'push' our schedules to Google Calendar is exceedingly helpful.
  • Being able to see work in daily and weekly buckets along a timeline is great for visually being able to identify issues in capacity.
  • Not only are filters great for being able to look at a very specific set of data, but being able to save that as a 'Board' allows you, or anyone else (with permission) to see that filtered data just by opening that board.

Cons

  • My biggest desire for monday.com would be to allow a mix of 'And' and 'Or' within the same filter, currently you can only choose one or the other.
  • Providing more examples for formula writing (maybe among customers as well) would be helpful.
  • I'd like to see cascading event pushes, based on capacity. If a job is A-B-C-D (must be in order; changing A would automatically push B-C-D.
  • Ease of capacity planning
  • Quick scheduling of delivery and installation services
  • Informative charting for business financial and production tracking
  • Easy to implement CMS functionality
It was very easy to learn to use, although I do credit our IT guy for doing such an amazing job setting it up. I mainly use the web view version and have never had any troubles figuring out how to use features I wasn't initially trained on. Also, the automations work well with outside services.
I've only had a few questions but they were always responded to with 24-48 hours.
We've been pleased with its performance and only had a few issues with other services, like Zapier, that were inconvenient. We were glad we made the choice to go with monday.com

Yes

I love this product and it works very well. There are always things that could be improved, features added and performance improved, but it has performed well and has been a great asset to our company. As a scheduling tool it is quite competent and being able to access the data when off-site is fantastic. It does require internet access so if off-site for you is without internet it would be less helpful in that situation.
