Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro almost every day. We use it for system designs, architecture diagrams, brainstorming, risk analysis, planning, sprint retrospectives, etc. We also use Miro boards for any technical or non-technical discussions, as they are a very good tool for visualising ideas/topics and collaborating with other people in the room.

Pros

  • Draw diagrams for system architecture and design.
  • Sprint retro templates are useful.
  • Decision-making process.
  • Brainstorming.
  • User journey.

Cons

  • The Mira App on desktop, no respond quite often.
  • Limited font styles.
  • Search content on the boards.
  • Improved productivity.
  • Improved collaboration.
  • Reduced meeting time.
  • The overall time spent on decision-making increases as we do more synchronous decision-making using Miro.
We haven't done too much integration; it's good in general. We have integrated Miro with Confluence; it's helpful as we can view the boards in Confluence pages rather than just a link. The integration was easy; it only took a few steps. We also integrated Miro with Slack, with only a few steps as well. I'm not sure if we can integrate it with the Google toolkit.
As I said earlier, it's beneficial. We have many team members working remotely, and without tools like Miro, I cannot imagine how we could work together collaboratively. Using Miro boards, we have implemented many asynchronous processes, such as decision-making, brainstorming, new product discovery, technical design, and more.
We previously used LucidChart that is also a web-based diagramming application that allows users to visually collaborate on drawing and sharing. It's not as good as Miro as it only provided limited functionalities and cannot meet other requirements from the business. Basically, only engineering teams could use it but other teams, such as product, marketing, data, etc., rarely used it. For Miro, any team, any role can get benefit.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

The Miro board is a good tool for collaboration among distributed teams. First, it helps us facilitate meetings. The facilitator can create a Miro board with an agenda, topics, discussion ideas, or materials so the people attending the meeting can quickly engage. Second, it improves collaboration. With a Miro board, we can easily input and share our ideas or thoughts with others. We can also use it for async meetings, which is very helpful when team members live in different time zones.
