Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We are using Miro in ICT and in our Agile coaching team for the next purposes:
Facilitation
Collaboration (online and IRL)
Brainstorming (alone or with more people)
Working out ideas or solutions to problems that are brought to us
We even have a book Library on Miro (linked to a real physical library)

Pros
- Diagramming (any sorts)
- Voting and timing (during online meetings)
- Mindmapping (with the AI tool)
- Kanban
Cons
- I'm missing the tool to just draw a line (not from box to box), for the moment I create a rectangle shape and make it small enough so it becomes a line
- Missing checkboxes (or I didn't find it yet?)
- Assigning stories to multiple people (only possible with labels)
- We created an "onboarding newcomers" Miro board for new people entering IT, it's widely used and shared. We even contacted a graphic designer to add drawings and make it even more nice and attractive
- During corona this was the tool that saved us. It helped us to stay in contact and still be able to collaborate in a constructive way although we were not fysically together
A lot of teams in IT here collaborate with the Miro tool. The advantages that we hear the most is: The freedom of what you can do, there are no limitations (which is sometimes an issue with Jira fe).
The fact you always have a complete overview, the board is unlimited and is therefore amazing in gathering information on your project. Such as: analysis info, Architecture info, info for business, the Kanban board, technical details, working rules of the team, values, and so on...
