Overall Satisfaction with Miro

In my last role, we used it regularly for brainstorming, process flows, user research, group feedback, note-taking, and other collaborative functions. I just started a new job and am inquiring about it. I hope it’s an option here!

Pros

  • Real-time digital collaboration.
  • Supporting many types of tools - text, tables, flow charts, etc.
  • Allowing an unlimited space for growing work.
  • Option to scroll/view as a slide show.
  • Easy to learn and intuitive to use.

Cons

  • It’s tough to size new frames on the same scale. Zooming, sizing, and all the options mean that display continuity is broken.
  • I had boards fail because they couldn’t handle certain image types.
  • Reducing time to collect and summarize ideas and concepts.
  • Decreasing documentation locations and version issues.
I don’t know how we would have accomplished our work without it. No other tool comes close to replicating the in-person whiteboard experience.
Microsoft’s tools are useful but delegate in utility, and Miro brings those many things into one app.
