Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Since the pandemic its hard to get everyone in the same room for a meeting. We use Miro as a replacement for our old whiteboards. Further we are now having multi national meetings. Having a central location for all of our workflows and notes on products is very helpful.

Pros

  • Its more flexable than power point
  • Multiple people can edit the board at once

Cons

  • We do a lot of Gantt charts with notes on them. We would like to have the page owner lock a portion of the board down and bock others from changing it.
  • The ability to link between points or multiple documents. For example tech support is generating documents for supporting the device but I have notes for manufacturing to send me images. Having the pitches linked to the catches would speed this up.
  • A program generated Gantt plot so I can issue action items to my team would be nice.
  • I would also like a list of changes since I last visited or at least highlights so I can quickly focus on just the parts that changed would be nice,.
  • It helps with collaboration across boarders.
I would like the ablity to lock parts of the document from editing or being moved while multiple people are using the document.

I would also like a thumb nail view of the board. Increased versioning or simply a way to link between versions.

I do like the web interface it remind me a lot of using powerpoint. I do find that I often move background elements when trying to do things like size stickie's. I would also like to implement a better way of controlling Zoom. When colabrating I find that people will work at different zoom levels and then we have to resize the text.
It very nice. but I wish it didn't lag so much on larger documents. I think the ability to embed office documents would be nice. You could still load the files when they are interacted on but we often use the software to collaborate on presentations where we take a power point documents and copy and paste the pages into the Miro board. Then every one applies their comments to the presentation as someone give the presentation. A way of taking the slides out automatically would make this much easyer.
We are collaborating with more remote workers and we found that Miro is a modern update to the old white board. It help up to generate a better living documents for our presentation and work flows.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Pros: I use Miro as a digital while board. Product management has a Gantt plot with the product release schedule we each put in what we need on the various teams lanes and our deliverables are listed on the expectation dates. This tools lets all twenty people work at the same time keeping the living document up to date.

We need a way to link pitches and catches and a way to automate the Gantt plot creation would be nice.

The cons are that Miro boards start to perform poorly as the document gets to large. As the project continues we need to split the document into versions and purge the older parts of the board. This leads to confusion as we have killed the living nature of the documents and have to make sure we are on the latest version. I think a way to view histories for the same document over time. Think of a timeline in a Cad program for example. And a better way of managing the size of the documents. For example could you unload parts of the document that are not being viewed to increase the performance.
