Overall Satisfaction with Celonis

Celonis was implemented with the scope of supporting with automation of current reporting (KPI's report mapping), current analysis team was running (for example RCA in case of KPI's failures, other areas we identified as critical to be monitored, etc.), current dashboards for transformations and continuous improvements projects. In parallel, we built some other views linked to our short/[medium-term] business plan, observed deviations from [standard] expected process, [identified] improvement areas, start addressing those. But what is important is that system can be used in multiple ways, depending on your company strategy, best practices Celonis recommends, and so on. We used Celonis to drive use cases meant to improve team productivity (remove manual not required steps we observed in the tool), improve cashflow (early/late payments), automation rate, etc.

Pros

  • Offers real-time visibility to what is happening in your system and [adjusts] the process map accordingly.

Cons

  • I am at the beginning of my journey, so for me still seems difficult to create the dashboards. But I am sure with the training available and some practice it is [doable].

Definitely, Celonis will support any manager to identify everything the team does in the system and support him to drive required change management. For example, in our case, we upgraded one of the tools we are using to trigger automatic workflows depending on the issue identified during 3WM. The team was still adding a comment in the system regarding the gap for that, even though this was automated and the entire reporting changed, as we were able to see who took the action and when we could push for that change consistently and make sure expected productivity is met. I believe Celonis cannot support exceptions handling, complex process design where even some of the tables/mapping cannot be replicated. For example in regards to payment on time, there is a certain variation the will always be there for us as we have a standard policy, then we have local legal requirements exceptions and on top as well internal exceptions. If data is not properly maintained for Celonis to track those exceptions, we [won't] have accurate analysis reports, so system maintenance is compulsory.
