Overall Satisfaction with BrightHR

I have started with [...] and therefore not yet exposed to the full strategic overview of how the product assists the business' needs. I use the product to manage employees records on an administrative level. I add new starters, make changes to existing records and add leaver information. I also utilise the product to look at employee holidays and make changes where required to address any imbalances.

Pros

  • Rapid live chat system, never let me down
  • Professional and friendly call handlers
  • Intuitive system and hardly any bugs

Cons

  • I am very surprised there's no provision for HR Administrators to unlock employees accounts.
  • The holiday calendar feels outdated and not quite modern enough to me. I think Sage People HCM/ Salesforce do it better
  • There needs to be a way for Admin users to see a employee user's login history and whether they have registered. This would prevent more calls and tickets to BrightHR support

Would you buy BrightHR again?

BrightHR is perfectly suited for adding new starters, maintaining employee records for contractual changes, holiday and other absences and also managing leavers. I think it's less appropriate for a technical HR professional as it doesn't have the customisation via syntax scripting in the way Sage/Salesforce provides it's users. This limits the freedom that admin users have on this product as it's not bespoke. Having to rely on BrightHR to make the changes feels bureaucratic at best.
