Overall Satisfaction with BambooHR®

I use BambooHR to aid in the onboarding process. We have created new hire packets with onboarding documentation that streamlines this process. We store all personnel files in BambooHR and track when trainings are coming due, as well as professional licensures, driver's license, and auto insurance. We use Bamboo to create reports for audits.

Pros

  • Organization of personnel documents in employee files
  • Ease of use, particularly for those not as technically inclined
  • Custom reports are super helpful in pulling info needed
  • The system runs smoothly and quickly almost 100% of the time

Cons

  • Some reports are not exportable as excel files
  • The 'Rehire' process could be a little more streamlined, instead of having to adjust several individual settings, being able to simply click 'Rehire' and have everything populate in that one window would be helpful.
  • It would be helpful to have a way to revise offer letters after they've been sent or signed, especially in cases where the start date has to be changed in unforeseen circumstances.
  • The time spent on personnel documentation auditing has been reduced by at least 40%
  • Identifying overdue trainings within BambooHR is quicker and far more reliable than the excel spreadsheet trackers our company utilized in the past.
  • Ease of the onboarding process is evident across the board, from candidates, to supervisors, to the HR professionals.
Bamboo is simple to use. Even if you don't how to do something or where to find something, a simple tap into the search bar typically brings you the results you need. Links for signing documents and new hire packets, etc, are extremely beneficial in getting personnel documents submitted in a timely manner.
Reporting is much more accurate with BambooHR. Our company used to rely on excel spreadsheets, but that left a lot of room for human error. With everything being in Bamboo, from the time a person is an applicant, to a candidate, to a new hire, to a veteran employee, everything is in one place, visible, and easy to track.

BambooHR seems to be very well-suited for most of our community-based mental health service needs. We have several service lines, all with different training requirements, and we have been able to set up the training trackers so that only trainings required for an employee's line of service shows up under their training tab. It's easy to see when things are overdue from an individual employee's profile page, but there is also a training tracker on the homepage where you can find all of that information in one place.
