Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

Our organization uses ADP Workforce Now for payroll. Our entire firm logs in to view their paystubs, change their addresses, check PTO balances, etc. I like the fact that it is cloud based so that if our network is down we can still access it from anywhere to process our payroll. It has given us more redundancy in our organization.

Pros

  • Easy to manage our employee data
  • Easy to run reports needed
  • Easy to process our payroll

Cons

  • While I appreciate the upgrades to the system, I often hear our payroll staff complain about how hard it can be to keep up with all the changes at times...buttons moving, etc.
  • Reporting can be complicated (I am excited for the new easy reporting options).
  • Spending less time and effort to get employees paper checks
  • Less down time around payroll systems
Prior to ADP we used Vision to do our payroll in house. We have never used anything else. We still use Vision for billing. I like the ability to use ADP anywhere. We do not have the cloud version of Vision. Workforce Now stores more HR related items and tracks more information related to payroll. Vision is a project related software so it isn't really built for HR needs.
I am not sure where it would not work. It can be pricey when you are paying per employee. I think for us it can be hard to maintain two databases but we choose to do that to keep accurate data in our time and attendance system for billing purposes. I think there might be value for ADP to work more with Deltek to get the products to talk more together. I always thought we were too small for ADP but surprisingly we are not!
