Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Yellowfin to display our analysis to customers. BI and analysis sides are very strong in Yellowfin. It's also user friendly so you can let your customer do flexible reports as they wish. AI guided NLQ and email broadcasting options adresses our business problems the most. Our scope is to set and display both BI and analysis merged and working as an automated system.

For Standard sales reporting that used to take up to two or three months to produce. When we adopted Yellowfin, we created the same reports in minutes. Yellowfin dashboards focused on revenue by segments and product clients help us make decisions around where to deploy our sales force

Pros

  • row-level security, meaning teams only see data they have permission to view.
  • user friendly interface which makes it easy for us to navigate and explore data effortlessly.
  • Dashboard making is effortless and allows you to view all data in real-time. It also allows multiple data sources to connect

Cons

  • Some reports are difficult to produce, it lags and hangs sometimes. Otherwise all features are good in this tool.
  • Integration with third-party tools is missing
  • The support team response is not proactive

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using Yellowfin to perform our calculations and data in a more organized way in a modern and easy to use software for everyone. This tool is helping us to make better decisions in terms of data and analysis collected.

Pros

  • It allows trend analysis, real time analysis and predictive analysis, which helps us to know the market and making good decisions.
  • It also allows you to view all data in real time and benchmark results.
  • It has mobile access, which allows us to monitor the data collected at any time and place. And it has the drag and drop tool that few similar software have and is very useful.

Cons

  • Data extraction can be a bit slow, I don't know if it is due to my computer or a system problem.
  • The integration with google Analytics, was quite cumbersome, so much so that we required help from technical support.
  • If they could have the cloud based version of the program, that would be great, so my computer wouldn't carry so much weight.

  • This software has been of great help to our work team, because it clearly shows the graphs and data of the company and trends, which allows us to make strategies according to the data collected, for the benefit of the company and its sales. It is a software that was not difficult to use and in a short time we were at its full potential.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Primarily as a post analytical visualization tool. Our team is about 8 people which include about 3 business side of users. Typically we give them the information to then get ready for presentation and make look good for the sales pitch.It was great for the most part until they removed the ACL function

  • More options for meta data
  • Needs better gauges
