In TrustRadius reviews, Webex App primarily serves Information organizations as a foundational platform for real-time communication and collaboration, essential for knowledge-based workforces. It facilitates both internal team interactions and external client engagements, supporting project-driven environments. Reviewers frequently highlight its robust meeting functionality, including features critical for detailed discussions like screen sharing and recording, which are vital for client consultations and knowledge dissemination. Its high audio and video quality ensure clear and professional communication, a necessity when conveying complex information.
The application also enhances employee productivity and collaboration for distributed project groups, contributing to cost savings by reducing travel needs. However, a significant concern for Information professionals is the platform's limited third-party integration capabilities, noted by 3 of 9 reviewers. This lack of seamless interoperability with diverse software ecosystems can disrupt information flow and necessitate workarounds. Overall, while Webex App provides reliable core communication tools, its integration limitations pose a notable challenge for information-centric organizations.
Pros
Reliable virtual meeting functionality for client consultations
High audio and video quality supporting precise information exchange
Integrated whiteboarding and content sharing for iterative project work
Facilitates quick technical discussions and code screen sharing for joint development
Enhances productivity and collaboration for distributed Information teams
Cons

Lack of seamless interoperability with diverse software ecosystems
Challenges integrating with competing communication platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams)
Requires workarounds due to integration gaps, impacting information flow
As a large organisation with a lot of people working from home, a reliable and scalable video conferencing platform is a must have. Webex App offers a plethora of features in multiple price ranges and the free tier is enough for basic use. Advanced tiers offer AI tools and various quality of life updates.
Pros
Multi-user video conferencing
Video recording
Caption generation
AI tools
Cons
Pricing is steep
International calling is very expensive
No cloud storage on free tier
Likelihood to Recommend
The Webex App is well suited for larger teams that need a secure video conferencing platform. An advanced tier is in that case justified and offers a lot of upgrades when compared to the free tier such as cloud storage for saving recorded meetings. For smaller teams, the free tier is fine.
We have Webex Meeting boards, so internally we use them to have our meetings with people who work from home or are from another company. We also use it to plan stuff in projects and by doing it like that we stimulate people to come to the office so that they can talk in person and share their files on the board in the meeting. And thus improving communication.
Pros
the sound and voice quality in meetings is amazing
using the board as a whiteboard is incredebly easy
Cons
maybe the fluidity of the ai that keeps everyone in focus of the camera could be smoother
Likelihood to Recommend
The setup and using the boards and app is incredibly easy to get to know. and planning in the app provides a really good insight into what's on the agenda and who is involved with that meeting. And for new users its easy to get to know.
I use the Webex App consistently as we are a Platinum Cisco Partner and we always use internally what we sell. Webex helps for a quick collaboration suite to assist internal and external communications with our partners. Mainly we use for team meetings and customre collaboration sessions and of course demos.
Pros
Collaboration
Instant Messaging
Video Conferencing
voice quality
Cons
Better integration with MS Teams
Better Integration with legacy PBX
Needs to fully replace Cisco Jabber

Great for collaboration with internal and external sessions. Where as it is so intuity with an existing Cisco environment that the customer can liternally live in the Webex app for all communications. Another great scenario is for collaboration with the vendor (Cisco) itself as I am able to have direct connection to engineerings and resourses when needed to answer technical queries.
We use Webex App in our organization for communication and collaboration within the organization and with external customers. Webex App is used for internal meetings and discussions such as brainstormin and weekly status update calls. We use Webex App with external cusomers to discuss projects and knowledge sharing on our offerings. Webex App helps record such important meeting for future reference.
Pros
High Audio and Video Quality
Stable Connectivity
Automatic Transcription generation
Cons
Performancd Improvement
Third party Integration
Need of More and Improved features
Likelihood to Recommend
Webex App seems to be well suited for large enterpises and organizations who have employees and customers since Webex App scales up well. Also, large enterprises need to store video recordings for later such as internal use or audit purposes. However, Webex App might not suit small customers as they might be detered by the cost.
The organization where I work usually meets in Teams. I would only use Webex for moderated conference calls when I am a paid moderator. I only take care of moderating and am not involved in a technical setup. The overall experience is good, but nothing really stands out.
Pros
Devices are recognized easily
I can switch between speakers/headsets.
Communications among panelists works well.
Cons
Compared to zoom, I think the user experience is not as good.
I am not familiar with more detailed options; maybe they are too hidden: how do I integrate Slido better?
Not a fan of a mobile app. Maybe needs some improvement.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is best suited for invitation-only paid online events with a professional moderator and someone who takes care of the technical issues. The downside I see is that people are less familiar with Webex than other platforms. This creates a barrier. Also, It would help if transcription supported Slovenian. It is less appropriate for events and meetings in Slovenian.
This was used in my org before Zoom came in. We used this widely as our teams were distributed across many New York, Chicago, Toronto, and Pune, India locations. This was useful as it allowed us to maintain collabs between all the teams. The share screen functionality helped us debug problems together.
Pros
Enterprise grade awesome security.
Meeting tools like Live chat, screenshare and Q&A.
Inherent noise cancellation features.
Cons
GUI is a bit clunky, but that may be a personal preference.
Integration with 3rd party tools/activities such as Google Docs, MS Office Online, MS Visio, etc.
If bandwidth flickers then performance becomes degraded.
Mobile App is a bit clunky to use.

Scenarios Where Webex Is Well-Suited: Large enterprise-level meetings, companies with a hybrid/work-from-home environment, Places where we want to have formal large group meetings, and also suited for high-security-related meetings like in Healthcare and government. Scenarios Where Webex May Be Less Appropriate: For quick, informal video calls among friends or small, very informal teams, simpler, more lightweight apps might be preferred. Webex's enterprise-grade features can sometimes feel overkill in these situations. While Webex has collaboration tools, if a team is looking for rapid and informal collaboration, some other platforms may provide a more streamlined experience when we want to have meetings on mobile apps.
It allows us to have meetings and view/share code screens. This is a necessary tool used for remote collaboration. For us, Webex App solves a number of issues, whether it be for planning our meetings, project planning, or cross department communication. As far as I can tell, this takes security seriously. They seem to be proactive about patching vulnerabilities and their service has End to end encryption.
Pros
It has the calling features we need (screen sharing, video, chat, recording)
Integrations with other tools
API is pretty good
Cons
Documentation needs some work
There is little to no ability to interact with Webex App from command line
Occasional difficulties connection problems and freezing
Likelihood to Recommend
Enables text and video communication between team members. It provides a secure platform for internal and external communication, which is essential for protecting sensitive company data. If we want a feature they don't offer, were out of luck (or we have to build a workaround using their APIs).
Collaboration overall. We are using Webex App for CUCM Calling, chatting in and outside of our Org, Meeting. Also Using the Webex AI assistant for translating our chats with our customer. Don't use Webex Calling and Webex Contact Center.
