What is VisitorTrack?

VisitorTrack is a web analytics product from netFactor. It works beyond traditional web analytics to convert anonymous website "clicks" into intelligence on business visitors – without any registration action. Positioned as “Caller ID for Your Website”, the reporting and content are designed for B2B lead generation. Users receive detail on the companies visiting a site, executive profiles, address, phone, website, visit details and analytics, along with features like email alerts, Salesforce integration, email tracking and social media queries.

Pros

  • Bombora without a doubt is the slickest thing you will ever see. How real is that visitor?
  • Built-in contact searches for company to generate a specific marketing list

Cons

  • As a function of who they buy the company contact data from, you commit to buying X number of downloads per month. Don't use them all? Too bad, you lose them--no rollover. Need a few more this month? Sorry, no.
  • Of course, I wish it was half the cost.

Return on Investment

  • In our case, we make our money back every month and more.
  • But don't misunderstand me, not all of our marketing lists generated from folks who stop by have been successful. Nobody can do that.

Gotcha!

Pros

  • The Dashboard provides at a glance website activity.
  • Being able to access contacts is a huge bonus and time saver.
  • VisitorTrack lets you see exactly what prospects or competitors are interested in based on the pages viewed.
  • Being able to create and save reports is a plus.

Cons

  • As a relatively new user, this is not an easy question to answer. I have already seen improvements (Dashboard) since I have been using VisitorTrack.
  • It would be great to see some more 'how to' video's in the help section.

Return on Investment

  • The number of leads to our Sales force has increased since implementing the program.
  • Lead conversion is seamless.
  • Prospects who are contacted from a lead appreciate the fact that we can give them the meat and potatoes so to speak. It saves a lot of valuable time for both the client and the sales department.

Pros

  • Get prompt insight to website visitors with notification email reports. You can see the website pages that people have visited, and you can have relevant conversations based on this insight.
  • The web based dashboard is nice for exploring statistics and trends, and you'll use this as well to create your reports.
  • Support is excellent. Their support team kind of reminds me of the Maytag man. I think they are just sitting there waiting to help us.

Cons

  • I'm sorry. Can't think of any weaknesses. We love the service. If we didn't, we wouldn't have renewed for a second year.

Return on Investment

  • VisitorTrack gives us the gift of awareness - which organization, what pages, what sequence, and when, with access to contacts (which can be filtered). We don't have to wait for someone to fill out a Contact Us form anymore. We can usually find a relevant human that visited our site before they have time to get up and use the bathroom. Thanks to VisitorTrack, our quantity of leads has probably exploded by 100 fold.
  • Our sales team members save a lot of time by making smart targeted calls instead of using junky lists sold by list hawkers.
  • We've been able to improve customer service as well because we can tell when our current customers are visiting our site, what they are looking at, and which product updates they are downloading. When we ask customers to visit a page or get content, our team can verify that the customer cooperated and orchestrate next steps.

Pros

  • Regular notifications of visitor traffic, with specifics
  • Ability to name specific targets of interest that trigger an immediate notification
  • Tracks how page was reached, such as Direct Hit, Google, etc. and what search terms were used

Cons

  • Only complaint is having to log in on every visit as opposed to being recognized when I visit, but it is a minor issue

Return on Investment

  • Ability to identify some key search terms used and make sure they have a presence on our web site
  • Ability to see when new prospects visit our site so we can time follow ups accordingly
  • Ability to set triggers on high value prospects which helps save time (I am a one man team)
