Pros
User-Friendly Interface: Many users have praised TravelBank for its super user-friendly and easy-to-use interface, both on the platform online and through their app. The simplicity of the reporting system and the ability to easily switch between a handheld device and a computer were appreciated by reviewers.
Efficient Expense Tracking: Reviewers have mentioned that TravelBank effectively tracks the expense submission, approval, and reimbursement process. Users can see exactly where their expense report is in the process, which makes it convenient for managing and tracking expenses.
Convenient Receipt Management: Several users have highlighted TravelBank's feature of automatically identifying the name of the merchant when taking a picture of a receipt. This not only makes tracking expenses easier but also saves time. Additionally, uploading receipts for expense reports was described as very easy by many reviewers.
I found TravelBank by googling for expense apps. I started using it over a couple of other options and told our CFO that this was our best option. He also likes its simplicity and agreed to take on this process for expenses. Right now it is just being used by myself, one other salesperson, and the CFO. It has saved countless hours since adoption in July 2019. I wish the email submitting was easier to use through adding multiple emails, sending a copy to yourself and showing when the email was read. The app is set up well through easy access to take pics of receipts, add date, location, and type of expense. I'd like them to add more expense categories and a way to crop pictures of receipts so that the reports print out nicely for review and payment internally.
Pros
Receipt upload
Easy to review expenses
Cons
Reports and expenses tabs are confusing--seem redundant but they are not.
Pictures need to be able to be edited. Right now I use another app for that.
Likelihood to Recommend
TravelBank is well suited in small companies or for people who work for themselves. Large corporations require more granular reporting and visibility as well as approvals.
TravelBank was used across the entire organization with the main purpose of being reimbursing travel expenses.
Pros
Customer service.
Cons
The app has a lot of bugs.
Data entry could be easier.
Likelihood to Recommend
One-off expenses are easy, but the app always had issues and made it difficult to use. One time, I had to take pictures of all my receipts using my laptop's webcam because I couldn't submit anything through the app.
TravelBank is simple and easy to use. With a matter of a few clicks, you can easily book your travel accommodations. TravelBank will pull a list of flight options within your budget. Similarly, you can browse from a list of hotels as well. The thing I like best about booking a hotel through TravelBank is the ability to search by area. In addition, you can see what types of perks the hotel offers like gym, breakfast, etc. I highly recommend TravelBank.
Pros
Organization
Options
Cons
More reward options
Pricing tips on when it may be most affordable to book.
TravelBank is our organization's tool for managing expense reports and travel.
Pros
TravelBank makes it very easy to upload receipts for expense reports.
TravelBank's workflow is intuitive.
Cons
Reviewing past expenses is a challenge. It's not easy to find them because they are considered "reports".
Past expenses have been paid but still are labeled "pending".
Likelihood to Recommend
TravelBank is well suited for organizations that are looking for a simple solution to manage expense reporting and un-complex travel. If you are frequent travel with multi-leg itineraries or more demanding scenarios, you might find TravelBank lacking.
TravelBank is currently being used across the whole company. Employees use the platform to track, log and submit all expenses. Some employees also use the travel booking feature, as well. The shift to TravelBank eliminated our use of manual expense reports in the form of Excels, which were problematic due to version control, errors, inconsistencies, incomplete fields, and tracking.
Pros
Ease of use - TravelBank is super user-friendly and easy to use whether you use the platform online or through their app.
Ability to effectively track expense submission, approval and reimbursement process. TravelBank allows users to see exactly where their expense report is in the process.
Cons
The scanning tool, which is meant to extract information from a photograph of the receipt, is not the best. More often than not, information is incorrect or simply not populated.
The digital reimbursement method currently built into TravelBank is a wire transfer which means that our company incurs costs when reimbursing in this way. Therefore, we are still using paper checks to reimburse employees. We would love to see a partnership with a digital partner such as Venmo or PayPal to mitigate this.
Likelihood to Recommend
The company-wide implementation of TravelBank greatly increased the efficiency of our expense reimbursement process. It mitigated many pain points such as errors, inconsistencies, and missing information in our manual Excels that were very hard to version control and track through the approval/reimbursement process. Overall, TravelBank has made all of our lives easier!
Across the organization, it helps save money on travel expenses.
Pros
It makes finding hotels easier.
Makes finding an appropriate price for a flight + Hotel seamless.
It helps me save money with rewards like the Airbnb credits.
Cons
It was hard to find a good hotel in my budget.
I wish I could get the incentives back in cash.
I have trouble using the user interface and wish I could store my common searches easier bcecauseI usually only travel to one place.
They need to have a better search tool. Like, if a hotel is unavailable it still needs to come up in the search bar -- not necessarily on the map or home screen, but it would help to see all options if I search because for some reason a ton of hotels that I know have open rooms do not show up.

It is a great product and will help you save money when you travel for work. It also takes the guessing game out of making a budget. But sometimes I feel like the way it's charging me extra, then expensing it, and getting the rewards are putting DoorDash at a loss. which is not part of our culture.
My organization does not use it, but I use it for travel and have recommended it to people several times. I wish my company used it.
Pros
Savings on flights.
Easy to use interface.
Great customer service.
Cons
I once booked a trip by accident because the payment process was a bit tricky.

TravelBank makes searching for flights easy. They also have great benefits when you book through them. My company uses a system that does not provide us with miles or any other perks, and we book on a company card. As a result, there are really no benefits that I can earn as a traveler.
My sales team currently utilizes an Excel sheet to manage their travel reimbursements. Typically, we would need to either tape the receipts to a paper and then scan the receipts to a PDF or take a picture with the phone, convert the image to a PDF, collate and then submit the receipts. With TravelBank, I take a picture of the receipts and make simple edits within the app to identify the transaction type. At the end of the month, I finalize the receipts within the TravelBank app and this creates a PDF that includes an itemized list as well as images of the receipts. I copy off the itemized list of receipts onto the Excel sheet and include the PDF to my accounting team. This app has saved me and my team considerable time when having to prepare and submit our travel expenses.
Pros
It will automatically identify the name of the merchant.
It's easy and quick to take picture of a receipt.
Generates reports.
Cons
You have to enter in the amount-- which I'm OK with doing, since other apps don't OCR the amount.
Condense the receipts to fewer pages.
Remember transaction types, ie Chevron should be "Gas," Chevy's should be "Meals."

This is ideal for small companies that don't use programs like Concur to manage their expenses. My division uses Excel, but other divisions within my larger company use Concur.
Sezzle uses TravelBank for booking flights and hotel rooms for employees. We love the user interface and customer support features. We also get 4 times the points for our Brex company credit cards, which is great!!
Pros
Customer support
Approval processes
Easy to use interface
Cons
I actually have no suggestions, it has been great so far!
I started using TravelBank as I saw it a free app on the iOS device. It is used currently by me and I am encouraging others to use it due to its ease of use and convenience. It really helps me stay on top of my expenses. We were using a pretty antiquated way of completing expenses and this helps cuts all that out.
Pros
Most importantly it's free.
Easy to switch between a handheld device and a computer.
Simple reporting.
Cons
Data recognition from receipts could be a little better.
Having the ability to download reports in CSV or Excel format.
Ability to change the basic layout of the reporting.

Most of the apps out there charge for expense management. This does it for free and even does mileage. The support is excellent, I cannot believe that they provide that level of customer support without charging for the app. That is the most amazing part of this app. They are courteous, timely and very helpful. And they are actual people and not robots. I cannot tell you how amazing that is.
