Brilliant Remote Management and Monitoring

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As we are involved in a lot of travel arrangements, we needed a software that can handle remote connectivity and collaboration while on the move. TeamViewer was a perfect choice for us as it allowed us to connect and collaborate in hybrid and remote conditions. The screen sharing and file sharing are some of the most admired features that I personally liked as it facilitates finalisation of travel plans.

Pros

  • Remote connectivity
  • Upfront collaboration
  • Hybrid setup and screensharing

Cons

  • Must assimilate more with other operational tools

Return on Investment

  • We are still assessing the impact on ROI

TeamViewer Remote access tool

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have used TeamViewer to connect with the team while we were working remotely as we are a hybrid work-culture based company and we take TeamViewer connection to get files and easy transfer of codes. As we deal in IT, we require remote access to client laptop system to get our files and coles running, for this we use TeamViewer.

Pros

  • Remote access to client laptops
  • File sharing between internal team and external clients.
  • Session recording and reporting for analysis purposes.

Cons

  • There is no chat feature while using TeamViewer
  • Virus scanning is not provided while file sharing makes system vulnerable.
  • Multi factor authentication is not there, it should be there for more security.

Return on Investment

  • Increase productivity with client as due to ease of access to client system
  • Virus scanning while files share is not provided which is a concern as we frequently deploy new applications in client system.
  • Connection between two teams is easier

Reliable solution for Centralized multi continental IT management

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

For our business especially as a company operating in many locations, TeamViewer plays a central role. This makes it possible for our centralized Information technology to effectively manage the systems, distribute updates and has the capacity to support endpoints whether in the local time or any other time zone globally.

Pros

  • The license model is similar to the business model and is designed to allow worldwide usage with individual region restrictions in a number of copies for each end user.
  • It can reconnect automatically after the reboots, so patch installations can be completed without making a new session.
  • Integration with our service desk means that remote control becomes one more state of a ticket.

Cons

  • TeamViewer normally uses up high bandwidth during screen refresh especially on the ultra-wide monitors.
  • From the user interface perspective, it might serve more modern, many thought the features could be better organized.
  • Some types of advanced administrative controls are not intuitive at all.

Return on Investment

  • Specifically IT support became more efficient on the global level, and overall patching during nighttime across zones was made possible.
  • The platform successfully maintained IT standards while at the same time protecting itself from future operational issues that could be caused by wrong configurations or lack of changes.
