SAP Integration Suite functions as a central integration platform, primarily connecting diverse SAP and non-SAP applications across an organization's IT landscape. In TrustRadius reviews, users frequently deploy it for business-to-business (B2B) and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) requirements, as well as internal application-to-application (A2A) needs, often integrating solutions like SAP SuccessFactors. Reviewers widely commend its extensive adapter and connectivity options, along with its native integration capabilities for SAP backend systems.
While some reviewers note its role in facilitating real-time integrations and achieving cost savings by consolidating middleware, others highlight areas for improvement. Concerns frequently arise regarding its cost and licensing model, cited by 4 out of 9 reviewers, and a desire for enhanced integration and connectivity options. Reviewers also point to a need for more robust enterprise-level features and improvements in the user interface. Overall, the suite is seen as a capable solution, particularly within SAP ecosystems, but with opportunities for refinement.
Pros
Extensive adapter and connectivity options for diverse systems (cloud and on-premise)
Simplified API management and building capabilities
Ease of use and management in its SaaS deployment model
Native integration with SAP backend systems like S/4HANA and ECC
Facilitates real-time integrations and process automation
Cons
Cost and licensing model are frequently cited as areas for improvement
Needs enhanced integration and connectivity options for broader interoperability
Lacks robust enterprise-level features such as detailed reporting dashboards and role concepts
User interface and usability could be improved, particularly for mapping and error reprocessing
Scalability and performance for very large data handling require attention
we use SAP Integration Suite primarily for A2A integration exposing connecting to and from our SAP systems. The platform is generally used for all connectivity, since we can then make processes around transforming the data, or retrying when things go wrong.
Pros
mappings
tech connectors
nice ui
Cons
pricing
api management should have been released along with cpi
From SAP Integration Suite, we are using Cloud Integration capability to develop Integration Flows in order to integrate different applications that are part of our organization landscape. They can be on-premise applications or cloud applications indistinctly. The aim is always to synchronize or exchange data from source application to target application for different purposes like Track and Trace solutions, payroll solutions or timesheet solutions.
Pros
Easy coding, simplifying Apache Camel.
Providing a variety of connectors / adapters.
Up to date in protocols and security.
Continuous updates addressing new features and bugfixes.
Cons
Monitoring capabilities, they should be more flexible providing more monitoring functionalities easy to use
AI extended not only for Premium Editions

SAP Integration Suite is well suited for: Real Time integrations. SAP IS will play the role of an Enterprise Service Bus. Connecting with external REST APIs in order to get or push data from / to an external application. Connection with governments for Electronic Invoicing, for several countries they provide pre-built packages.
We are using SAP Integration Suite to create Rest APIs which our customers are going to use. In our backend system we are implementing OData-Services as basis for our Rest APIs.
Pros
Easy to test Rest APIs
Easy to build APIs
We able to send results of an API via email with an attached file
Cons
The monitoring of APIs is not really usable
Likelihood to Recommend
My experience showed that almost every scenario with Rest APIs is possible except of handling large data submissions. If we have to submit lets say data amounts of over 100 MB from our backend system via Rest API it is not possible with the SAP Integration Suite.
I am able to leverage current business data and purposes to create apps faster, increasing the organization's productivity. The solution addressed a number of difficulties, the most notable of which are use cases that demand BYOD: bring your own device configuration, which necessitates compatibility and breadth across various dimensions, which SAP Integration Suite supplies. The time necessary to create an interface is significantly shorter than that required in SAP PI or PO. While creating an interface in PI or PO might take many hours, it can be completed in CPI in an hour.
Pros
The drag-and-drop interface, as well as SAP regular improvements to its pre-packaged content, are also excellent features.
The security features (such as the cloud connection for sending data to the local system, as well as encryption and scrambling) are really beneficial.
Unlike other tools I've tested, the SAP connectivity package offers access to third-party cloud apps.
Prototyping may be completed more quickly, and the team can determine whether or not to proceed with the integration depending on the feedback process.
Cons
To assist with design and publication, the SAP connectivity package could surely benefit from additional user-friendly interfaces and functionality.
The overall cost of the product as well as the training required for the team to do Agile PoCs so that we can rapidly show the portions that are practical and high value.

It fits well in numerous scenarios and commerce cases for most companies, in my individual involvement I would suggest it to all organizations as we know the significance of secure information and analytics and coordinates work between diverse offices, and SAP Cloud Information it is one of the culminate apparatuses to handle all these necessities. It coordinating well with other valuable SAP arrangements like SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP S/4HANA and SAP Information Insights, it can too be coordinates with other non-SAP arrangements like Sky blue Advertisement, MS Viewpoint, Blackline, MS SharePoint, etc., to extend the workflow of the whole organization, the integration calculate is what makes it reasonable for our organization.

SAP Integration Suite is best suited for scenarios where we want to create a project pipeline contains multiple components. It's product as a service feature allows us to link all the parts integral to the pipeline efficiently and without much difficulty. It can be integrated on application, business process and presentation levels.
Integration is little time consuming and sometimes it even fails continuously, this can be very disappointing for the projects which are mostly on hourly contracts which ultimately is a business and revenue loss, i will suggest if it can be improved so that there is no any problem with users and consultant
