SAP Extended Warehouse Management review

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use SAP Extended Warehouse Management in our warehouse management for manufacturing plants and shipping plants. Inbound and outbound shipments and inventory management is handled via SAP Extended Warehouse Management.
SAP Extended Warehouse Management is integrated to S/4 Hana in our company.

We do not have the Transport Management module in use, so SAP Extended Warehouse Management is also our main tool for planning outbound shipments (what to pack, when, where is it loaded).

Pros

  • Integration with S/4
  • Shipping cockpit is easy to use

Cons

  • Shipment measurements in shipping cockpit
  • Better stock reports
  • Easier processing of deliveries between S/4 and SAP Extended Warehouse Management
