Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use SAP Analytics Cloud as a frontend to our local bi services. we role out the sac dashboards across departments. the further business cases are data visualisation of nonsap backend systems we do have so this makes it more easy for us to deliver informational Dashboards. we extend our scope time by time to provide better solutions to our customers

  • dashboard and story integration with local data
  • meta framework to build tool sets for our external customers
  • have a meta model to only store the framework informations and not data

Cons

  • user management is sometimes a hastle
  • cors frameworks makes it sometimes hard for administrators to analyse issues
  • browser based issues with versions are sometimes a hazle

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

SAP Analytics Cloud is mostly used for Planning purposes this year. A community of more than 100 persons are collaborating to build the Budget, MRF and MYP for the marketing department. Close to that, we developed various stories for the service ticket review. Our main source is the BW system where a consolidation of multiple SAP and non SAP systems is taking place.

Pros

  • Aggregation and de aggregation of information to facilitate the planning
  • Live connection to SAP models to have real time dashboards
  • Nice visual presentations

Cons

  • Simplify the access for resources related to adoption of solution (they exists but maybe to be improved)

Return on Investment

  • collaborative planning is a must with SAP Analytics Cloud Planning

I created several SAP Analytics Cloud Review dashboards in my carreer. Many analítics and few planning. Not problems but some performance challenges, sometimes the data ingestion if we are using many sources and specially non sap sources. I work cross departments but focus in finance today. Overall y noticed that in each release there are many new features and improvements

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We visualize data from SAB BW via SAP Analytics Cloud Review and want to try planning. SAC makes it easy to show the data in a nice visual way and we make our IT strategy scenarios easily comparable. Another use case is supplier data in the procurement area. We use it in headquarter and plan to roll it out in Finance Planning and Forecasting as well.

I am working as SAP Security Architect in my organization and using SAP S/4HANA but unfortunately there is no direct reports available for security purposes, hence we have used to SAP Analytics cloud to build the reports for Security areas, Currently we are using many reports on SAC and its helping end users in many ways as technical understanding is normally difficult for business users and SAC is helping us in overcoming those.

Pros

  • We can create Stories and Dashboard in very quick and easy way
  • SAC can run on live data, and it helps in real time analysis
  • Using SAC either we can model data in SAC itself or we can also use data model from other systems

Cons

  • Better Transport and Change Management so that our changes should be moved from DEV to production environment
  • Currently their Role management is challenging and confusing either they should move to Team or Role any one
  • Future Road-map is not clear for many customer after BDC came into picture

Return on Investment

  • It reduces our ROI by 20% due to its easy to use platform and End user developed their own reports
