Use Cases and Deployment Scope

SAP Analytics Cloud is used by us to prepare a 10 year and 5 year sales forecast and market segment growth. We use it to input data, compare with actual sales numbers and then take decisions based on the visualizations. SAP Analytics Cloud has improved our forecasting method and reduced complexity of handling multiple Excel sheets. We are using this service for marketing database, production planning and segmentation of customers.

UI has a scope of improvement
Buffering time was more for us

In our organization, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is used to integrate data from multiple systems and is primarily leveraged to build reports for management. We gather data from various sources and business partners, such as Netradyne and Geotab, to prepare daily business-critical reports. SAC serves as the primary tool for business intelligence, planning, and predictive analytics. It provides a unified platform for decision-makers to visualize data, create interactive dashboards, and run real-time analytics across various business functions.

Pros

Integrated with business partner GEOTAB and gather data and build reports.
Integrated with S4HANA and publish SAP related reports.
SAC also server as Database for Business Intelligence reports.

Cons

SAC's planning module lacks advanced features like audit trails, driver-based planning, complex formula handling, and advanced approval workflows.
Just like CPI, It can have more workflow representation of overall flow.

SAP Analytics Cloud is our primary tool for business decision making. We have implemented multiple modules interlinked with each other these include cost management, Operations & risk management. Data visualization has become quite easier and the dashboards can be access restricted making it suitable for multiple levels. The suite provides a unified approach to organizational analytics.

Pros

Cost analysis & path charting.
Risk analysis & management.
Data visualization along with decisions & planning.

Cons

Product is sophisticated and requires trainings.
Noticeable lags between acquired & live data.
If we remove the limitations on the number of cells data, we get performance issues.

Likelihood to Recommend

SAP Analytics Cloud combines all aspects of out business in a single platform. Various pipelines can be clubbed and analyzed simultaneously for better decision making. Data visualization models for reporting are the cherries on top.

It might not be suitable for businesses that aren't keen on investing such a large amount for their Analytics needs as there are multiple vendors available that do it for a much lesser price, such as Zoho.

At our organisation SAP analytics cloud is a gamechanger. It helps us keep tabs on how well our startups are doing tracking things like customer acquisition and growth live. We can easily evaluate performance of any employee using experience and knowledge. We use it to keep record of our orders and to anlalyze them easily.

Pros

It makes it easier yo analyse order and related records easily.
We can easily maintain and track the performance of employees in organisation.
Can easily track various aspects for the growth of an organisation thus allowing real time analysis and tracking of organisation's growth and performance.

Cons

User Interface of SAP cloud analytics can be improved more so that it can be made more accessible.
User support is not that much good and time consuming.
Limited team work and collaboration possible as their are not much collaborative features available, it makes it sometime time consuming.

If you want to track your organizations performance live on regular basis and needs good analytics option you should try this out, it's easy to implement, cost friendly and you can almost track all of organizations processes from just a single place but if there's more team work required on analysis in your organization or you're looking for more collaborative tool with better support it will not work that much good for your usecase.

My team and I use SAP analytics cloud to analyze bulk of CRM data, create segmentation and automated workflows for decision making. With Cloud Analytics, we can generate insights from sales data at a daily, monthly and even quarterly cadence. We can even create the mandates for sales team basis their performance throughout the funnel basis their lead data.

The mobile app could be faster & lighter. Currently it hangs often while loading dashboards.
It takes some time to get accustomed to a new peson. The training modules are not very informative.
Difficult to integrate with existing legacy systems.

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited for distributed access control wherein you need to give a dashboard to individual sales team members, especially for target vs achievement incentivization schemes. The team can see live tracking data on top of custom dashboard to monitor & act at all times.

It is less appropriate for custom querying and aggregation.

It works seamlessly over the cloud.

Cons

It lacks customization features, so it can't be tailored to a company's specific needs.
It is highly dependent on other SAP products to unlock its full potential.
For first-time users, its environment can get a bit confusing.
