We use it to unify data from multiple systems - our ERP, Salesforce crm, and our proprietary lab information system. All into a single analytical layer. I build predictive models for things like reagent forecasting and vendor performance analytics. These use live data connections from SAP.
Pros
Awesome visualizations.
The cloud environment is fairly consistent.
Cons
We manage nearly 40 data models feeding into separate story dashboards. SAC doesn't handle versioning gracefully.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is exceptional in tying business, finance, and operational data together. Not so much when you're dealing with unstructured data like logs stored in MongoDB.

I think SAC has the challenge to improve more the planning features like top down, allocations, drivers and data actions. Also is good to invest in IA as well, sap already is on it but put more energy and development will make the difference !

This avoid business acrros the organization to use Excel.

SAP Analytics Cloud is our primary tool for business decision making. We have implemented multiple modules interlinked with each other these include cost management, Operations & risk management. Data visualization has become quite easier and the dashboards can be access restricted making it suitable for multiple levels. The suite provides a unified approach to organizational analytics.
Pros
Cost analysis & path charting.
Risk analysis & management.
Data visualization along with decisions & planning.
Cons
Product is sophisticated and requires trainings.
Noticeable lags between acquired & live data.
If we remove the limitations on the number of cells data, we get performance issues.

SAP Analytics Cloud combines all aspects of out business in a single platform. Various pipelines can be clubbed and analyzed simultaneously for better decision making. Data visualization models for reporting are the cherries on top. It might not be suitable for businesses that aren't keen on investing such a large amount for their Analytics needs as there are multiple vendors available that do it for a much lesser price, such as Zoho.

SAP Analytics Cloud is great for big companies that want advanced data analysis and planning, especially when they need to work together in real-time or when people need to access data on their phones. It's like a super tool for predicting future trends in industries like retail or finance. SAC also works well for companies that use different types of computer systems because it can easily connect them. But, for small businesses that only need basic reports or don't have a lot of technical resources, a simpler tool might be better. If a company doesn't always have a good internet connection or if they're just starting with analytics, there might be other tools that work better.
At our organisation SAP analytics cloud is a gamechanger. It helps us keep tabs on how well our startups are doing tracking things like customer acquisition and growth live. Can easily track various aspects for the growth of an organisation thus allowing real time analysis and tracking of organisation's growth and performance.
Cons
User Interface of SAP cloud analytics can be improved more so that it can be made more accessible.
User support is not that much good and time consuming.
Limited team work and collaboration possible as their are not much collaborative features available, it makes it sometime time consuming.
Likelihood to Recommend
If you want to track your organizations performance live on regular basis and needs good analytics option you should try this out, it's easy to implement, cost friendly and you can almost track all of organizations processes from just a single place but if there's more team work required on analysis in your organization or you're looking for more collaborative tool with better support it will not work that much good for your usecase.
My team and I use SAP analytics cloud to analyze bulk of CRM data, create segmentation and automated workflows for decision making. With Cloud Analytics, we can generate insights from sales data at a daily, monthly and even quarterly cadence. We can even create the mandates for sales team basis their performance throughout the funnel basis their lead data.
Pros
Data security
Access control
Access from anywhere
Cons
The mobile app could be faster & lighter. Currently it hangs often while loading dashboards.
It takes some time to get accustomed to a new peson. The training modules are not very informative.
Difficult to integrate with existing legacy systems.
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited for distributed access control wherein you need to give a dashboard to individual sales team members, especially for target vs achievement incentivization schemes. The team can see live tracking data on top of custom dashboard to monitor & act at all times. It is less appropriate for custom querying and aggregation.
