We use RingEx for all communications: calls, texts, meetings, and chat. We have roughly 250 users who are spread across the country. This product combines all of those features into one app, regardless of where users work from.
Pros
Calling from multiple different devices.
Instant Messaging.
Video Meetings.
Faxing.
Cons
Message data exports are limited to JSON.
Configuration through the service portal is different from the app.
Would love to have better integrations with MS Teams.

RingEX is well suited for a widely distributed workforce, where users can leverage the apps and internet-connected desk phones.

At it's core RingEX is our corporate phone system, but also our online meeting, webinar, chat, and collaboration solution.
Pros
Chat and Messaging - Conversations are easy to search, topics can be pinned or bookmarked, and groups are easy to create and administer.
Phone - The core functionality works very well allowing voice, txt/sms, and faxing for all users. Administration is generally fairly easy as well.
Mobile Client - the mobile app offers all of the same functionality as the desktop or web client.
Video - Video calls make it easy to share screens with other users and includes a lot of tools for planning.
Cons
Support - The onboarding process was poor, and ongoing support has become almost non-existent. It's sometimes easy to get an agent on the phone, but it's a crap shoot if the agent can actually help you and trouble tickets are a black hole that never get resolved.
Account Management - The sales team is only helpful pre-sale, and then disappear.
Functionality - Basic phone system functions are included and work well, but many business focused features such as IVR are locked behind expensive contact center solutions.

As a basic phone system for small business RingEX offers a nice product that is feature rich. The service is very reliable. For larger or more complex needs the service becomes expensive and support is lackluster.
We use Ring Central as our main phone provider. It allows us to have 5-6 phones in the shop without having to get additional landlines through the phone or cable provider. Especially since the phones are located at different points in the store and not just the office. We have the flexibility to add additional lines and locate them in various areas.
Pros
Various phone plans
Ability to add/subtract phones in the app
On the spot recording of a new outgoing message
Ease of adding call routing
Cons
Menu of features could be simplified
Ability to change call routing is time consuming
Likelihood to Recommend
The ease of updating our phones to more modern editions was great and the technical support to do that was fantastic!

Vice-President in Sales (Automotive company, 1-10 employees)
We use the voip phone, we signed up a few years ago for the service a sales rep called us and said we would get a discount if we sign a 1 year contract, they they emailed us a 3 year and 3 year auto renew contract baud and switch. In our experience, RingEX refuses to stand behind this and do anything about it, all we want to do is downgrade some users but do no avail
Pros
In my opinion, Bait and switch
In my opinion, Long annoying contracts
In my experience, Give you the run around to cancel
Cons
Stand behind sales people
Show some compassion to your customers
Allow companies to add or remove users as needed
Likelihood to Recommend
I don’t recommend RingEX for any company due to them, in my opinion, not being honest, the actual service works ok. Although, I think it is really complicated to use and to take advantage of the full features they offer

C-Level Executive in Corporate (Consumer Goods company, 11-50 employees)
Our company uses RingEX as its primary telephony solution. We have a team of about 15-20 users who staff an inbound call queue, as well as executive and administrative staff. RingEX allows us to call, text, and conference with many of our customers and other vendors and clients effectively and relatively painlessly.
Pros
Our ability to text our customers information they request from us.
The ability to easily add newhire staff to the phone system
The ability to leverage our current computer hardware as our phone solution
Cons
There is no unlimited texting plan.
System down issues (when they happen) are not resolved as quickly as I would prefer
Tighter integration, or better training on, using it across applications.

If you need a phone system, and do not have the infrastructure, or budget for your own in-house solution, RingEX is very well suited for you. You can start small, and build as you and your business grow. Even if you have a LARGE business, their team will help you get it setup and off the ground quickly and efficiently with a minimum of fuss.
I have been a customer since 2013 and I raise donations to save animals who have been abused. I got RingEX in 2013 so I can talk to the 600 nonprofits I support. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, I had to close my doors and we no longer need RingEX service. I have spent over 4 hours on hold with 5 different reps and they refuse to help me. They keep transferring us around to different people and will leave you on hold and even just hang up on me. We have helped save thousands of animals since 2013 and I cannot believe this is how they treat customers like me. We have asked them to send me the signed agreements and they cannot produce any other agreements they have lied and said I have signed. RingEX said we signed an extra 2 years magically the day we called to cancel. Isn't that convenient? Take a look at another review such as Yelp and you will see they are trying this same exact tactic with other customers. I have spoken to RingEX customer service reps like Jesus and Ralph and neither will handle my cancellation and both have kept us on hold for hours. Anytime you ask for someone’s contact information they say they do not have it. Can you believe this is how they treat customers of 8 years? Since RingEX refuses to cancel our service we are now forced to take further action. 1. We have contacted our attorney to take on our case now. 2. We have canceled the card on file with them and contacted our Chase Business Service Rep and let them know RingEX is trying to scam us. 3. We let our 2 million fans, followers, and likes know that RingEX is trying to scam our business. These supporters are extremely passionate about our work and will not be happy with how we are being treated. 4. We are leaving negative reviews on any service so as many people as possible knows to avoid RingEX.
Pros
[In my opinion,] None.
Cons
Stop scamming customers into paying for an extra 2 years as they try to cancel!
Our organization uses RingEX as the primary VoIP phone system. Additionally, we use RingEX's app, Glip, for calling, voicemail, chats, meetings, text messages, and faxes. Switching to RingEX's cloud-based, hosted solution allowed us to scrap our legacy phone system that was prone to errors and outdated in its functionality. Having a cloud-based phone system was also important in supporting our displaced workforce as many employees need to work remotely because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Pros
Cloud-based solution that can support a remote workforce.
Excellent call switching between devices, such as moving a call from a computer to a cell phone.
Automatic transcription of voicemail isn't perfect, but it is helpful.
Cons
The team chat interface of the Glip application (also called Jupiter) isn't as refined as other chat interfaces. For example, it doesn't indicate when team members have read a message.
The integration of Glip with on-premise Exchange is non-existent and not on the development radar.
RingEX personnel were not familiar with supporting paging devices, even though the platform does offer integration with some paging equipment manufacturers.
Likelihood to Recommend
RingEX was fairly simple to implement. It has a good management interface through the service portal. The analytics available in the service portal are good and continually getting better. The mobile app is easy to use and makes it simple to switch a call from a computer to it and vice versa. The downside to RingEX is its lack of integration with on-prem Exchange and the bundling of RingEX Video, which is an immature virtual meeting tool.

Supervisor in Information Technology (Chemicals company, 51-200 employees)
RingEX is used as our primary method of communication for Phone, Video Conferencing, Screen Sharing, and messaging. We rolled it out across all of our divisions and all our locations in North America. RingEX allowed us to eliminate our single point of failure on-prem PBX and gives our employees access to all their communications on their computer or mobile - from work or from home.
Pros
Quality Voice and Video communication
Customer Support and Installation Services
Easy to learn user interface
Comprehensive messenging services
Cons
Consistency in their apps across Desktop/Mobile/Chrome Extension platforms
They need to include the probably Taxes and fees on their quotes to not surprise new customers.
Likelihood to Recommend
RingEX proved to be a LIFE SAVER when we were forced to implement a Work from Home strategy in just a week - had we been on our previous solution of an on-prem PBX we would have had to scramble for both Phone and Conferencing solutions. Not only were we able to get up and running, we didn't even need any training on RingEX for our users because they already knew how to interact with RingEX from ANY location!
We use RingEX for pharmaceutical marketing/promotion. We have a team of sales reps who use it to call remote areas across Canada and needed something that would allow them to make these calls from home with some tracking tools for monitoring their activities. Prior to using RingEX, we would simply have the reps use cell phones, but having RingEX integrated into our CRM makes that process much easier and more efficient. RingEX is low-cost, easy to deploy, and offers a good suite of tools for our sales reps to communicate in a variety of ways with the teleconferencing, webinars, and faxing.
Pros
Fast to deploy - Once we were signed up, we had soft phones ready to start making calls within minutes
Good variety of platform - VOIP calls are the main purpose, but having teleconferencing, web conferencing, faxing, voicemail, customizable caller ID, and call recording make it a great suite of services
Good call quality - Depends on internet connection, but we haven't had any concerns about the call quality other than when there was an internet connection problem
Cons
Device transfer - Transferring the account from one rep to another requires an admin to deauthorize the existing device before the new user has full functionality, which seems unnecessary
Spam calls - The phone numbers available are probably recycled often, as we commonly receive spam calls on different lines
Zoho integration - Calling from Zoho CRM results in the rep needing to answer a call and press a button before it actually calls the intended recipient
Likelihood to Recommend
RingEX is great if making a large volume of calls or all of its services are useful to a business, such as in our case. For users just wanting a softphone (no webinar, telecon, etc.) there are cheaper options available. However, many competitors charge for call time by the minute, which can easily shoot costs way higher than RingEX if making a lot of calls (our users make around 40 calls/day).

Analyst in Information Technology (Pharmaceuticals company, 201-500 employees)
Our company uses RingEX for all calling and faxing functions. RingEX allows our mobile users to have office extensions as well as be able to telecommute with ease. Our company also does quite a bit of faxing and the ability to fax from a mobile phone or desktop is a nice benefit. Screen sharing and meeting capabilities also allow our mobile users as well as in office users to better serve our customers.
Pros
Desktop soft phone and mobile application are nearly identical and easy to use.
Super users are able to manage phone numbers, users, and devices from the web portal or mobile app. This makes making changes while out of office much more convenient.
Faxing directly from soft phone and mobile app.
Video calling and meetings are easy to setup whether on soft phone or mobile app.
Demoing before purchasing gave us good information if VOIP would work well in our existing environment. We were given test phones for at least a month at all our locations.
Cons
Technical support can be difficult to deal with as they seem to want to get you out of their hair ASAP. Regular user support seems fine.
Soft phone and mobile app are easy to update, but have caused various issues with phone registration and they can force you to update due to discontinuing versions.
Some functions from the soft phone and mobile app are not as easy to use as the physical handset due to lack of function keys, like paging for example.
Likelihood to Recommend
RingEX is a great solution for all business sizes, but it definitely seems to require extra planning and an active IT team to help facilitate it. It is pretty much plug and play but when an issue arises it can be difficult to track between RingEX, ISP and internal network problems. A big benefit is the mobility so no longer are you tied to a PBx and scrambling to get phones back online when the PBx goes down.
