User Friendly

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use this program for AP/AR/Inventory and Payroll. It is pretty user friendly for the most part. Has some speed issues and oddities occasionally. Running reports can sometimes be difficult. Does not always transfer to excel well. You may have to add your own formulas to get totals and such. This has allowed us to stay organized and on track with our budgets after some tweaking/customizing of the reports.

Pros

  • Reports
  • Ease in making changes/updates

Cons

  • Searching for something sometimes can be wonky
  • multiple ways to complete same task
  • reports do not always total, or you have to clear everything to use the same report for a different customer

Return on Investment

  • Gives us more time to do other things - just need to accurately enter - but can fix anything
  • We use the payroll option which is nice to utilize one program for two aspects of our business. No need to journal entry payroll, the system does it automatically. No need to remote in as you can log in from again.

Other Software Used

AccuLynx, Billtrust, Jotform

Usability

Quickbooks

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

QB sucks, go somewhere else. they are overpriced, their program is costantly crashing, at least the online version of it. Having to constantly close it down and restart to get it working again.

Customer service is horrible, most of their call intake is in another country and most can't be understood, they are slow to respond to problems or security risks. We notified them that somebody created a 2nd account with our company name and we were getting calls and emails from all over the world, that their credit card had been run by our company. obviously it was not us, reported it to QB and they said they were not showing a 2nd company, even though we got an email telling them our account was set up successfully. Sent all this info to them and never heard anything back from them or their security department. 2 years later they are taking us to collections for thousands of dollars that they claim our company owes them. We even reported it all to the FBI at the time it was happening, but we were told nothing they could do because it was occuring somewhere from outside of the USA. Quickbooks is horrible and they employ too many 3rd party companies outside of the USA, that speak. horrible English.

Pros

  • nothing
  • it's always crashing or getting stuck
  • currently looking for another provider.
  • Quickbooks is going to price themselves out of business.

Cons

  • customer service is hard to use because they offshore their phone reps, hard to understand and often get no resolve to issues
  • We had a problem with a notification that somebody had requested another account in our company name and I called in to report that we had not requested another account, I was advised they would get back with me, which never happened
  • My major complain is lack of good english speaking customer support and their lack of follow through on issues that do arise. It's like they don't care because they are so big.

Return on Investment

  • none it's expensive and works like feces.
  • Keeps track of our inventory if it is accurately input into the system.
  • Over all a great program.
