We use Paycor to track time and pay all of our employees. I am the payroll specialist and I enter payroll and transfer time from another database into Paycor weekly I have not encountered any major issues since I started using Paycor in March of 2025 it's the first time I've used Paycor.

Paycor is our HRIS and we use almost every module they offer, including: payroll, ats/recruiting, performance management, lms, pto tracking, benefits integration, and background checks. It does what we need to do, generally with little issues, and they offerings continue to grow and consolidate and centralize.
Pros
ATS
365 Integrations
LMS
Cons
Integration with azure/microsoft 365
Support

My recommendation being average would cynically be based on the fact that every HR practitioner in my network also complains about the support at their HRIS companies. Otherwise I think I might have changed to another platform. If their support were easily accessible, dedicated, and competent I don’t think I’d have any complaints.

Payroll and expense management. We used the expense management to help streamline our expenses that were being paid out with a paper check. Our employees are very happy with the new process. Payroll processing is very streamlined using Paycor. We have had some implementation issues but overall it has been great.
Pros
Answer phone calls
Wage garnishments
Payroll
Cons
Reporting
Expense management implementation
Likelihood to Recommend
They are a great payroll provider. Sometimes when doing the implementation there are some big misses.

We implemented Paycor in March 2024. We have been adding new modules and while payroll, time, general ledger, etc. were managed by a Paycor Rep that walked us through all of the setup and details, the Recruiting module was dumped on us via an email of information. We had to reach out multiple times to just get one hour of someone walking through this module. The online knowledge and support center are lacking in terms of thorough information and training for Administrators and Managers. With other Payroll/HRIS vendors in the past, I have worked with, our key account rep was very good at training and addressing difficult issues with modules. It is also a valuable resource to provide so the customer doesn't feel like they have to spend hours finding an answer that may or may not be there when it is more efficient to have a dedicated Paycor Rep and time to discuss. It is highly important to offer 1-1 training so that the customer has the opportunity to see the specific value and question details that may not generally apply.
Pros
chat support
onboarding process
Cons
training for newly purchased modules
lack of a dedicated Account Rep or point of contact for each specific area/module. In my opinion, the Payroll support team that we call into is TERRIBLE. You have to talk to 5 different people who are just reading from the same worthless Support & Knowledge Center Information I can access myself. Paycom has a great structure where you have a dedicated rep for each area (benefits/payroll/HR/Talent/etc.) and when you call in, you get them or one of their dedicated team of 5. At least a small group you build relationship with and are super knowledgeable of the system and our company.

In my experience, Paycor's training and support is lacking. I think calling in when you need a quick resolution is their weakest area with too many routes to navigate through until you can get an actual human and then the human doesn't know anything more than what I already know.

We use most modules of Paycor as our HRIS. We use this system for payroll, recruiting, benefits, learning management and performance management. Hourly employees also use the timekeeping aspect as well as the scheduling function.
Pros
Robust System
Many modules to meet all your needs
Lots of training
Cons
In my opinion, the support is very frustrating. Everyone gives you a different answer and most the time your issue cannot be solved with a phone call to support. In my experience, It takes weeks and communication is poor.
The different modules don't seem to talk to each other
The system is a bit like a labyrinth, it often isn't intuitive
Likelihood to Recommend
This system could be well suited to smaller companies without a lot of complexity. For companies with multiple entities, we have found it to be cumbersome.

We currently use all the products offered, except for we have placed the learning management module on hold.
Pros
ACA
Garnishment processing
Benefit Advisor
Cons
Customer Service - English speaking customer service reps
Reports that are pull between multiple years
Reports that are not so geared towards IT thinking but users
Mobile app needs to work more efficiently
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycor has improved over the past 4 years that we have used them. Would like to see the ability to pull reports on lots of items within the employees profile.
I’m the HR Director and I am the primary payroll person in the company. I use Paycor‘s HRIS, ATS payroll and benefits advisor. Paycor is at the heart of our company
Pros
Paycor believes in recognizing employees and makes that easy to do
Has a lot of tools too communicate with employees
Cons
In my experience, their reporting is all over the place and difficult to use
In my opinion, their time off system has many flaws
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycor is well suited for payroll, but, in my opinion, not as well suited for an HRIS or ATS
We use Paycor for Payroll and Learning Management. The onboarding platform has helped out a lot. There were a few little issues with employees doing it on cell phones, but other than that, it’s been great! It's easy to use and navigate. It's nice to be able to recognize some of our employees through the app as well. We look forward to utilizing the learning management software with different types of training for our staff and leadership team while staying compliant with our state.
